Dont count on much..
When my employer closed our KC office we let one office professional go outright, one was given opportunity to relocate to HQ, One manager, one researcher and a Public Affairs guy all moved to home.
CoPay for new phone lines and paid for service on those lines
Set up as needed Fax, We all had computers and moved them with, and we had a $400 allowance for office set up. We were given first shot at buying our office furniture at a cheap price but far from free
I was lead manager and designated Office Manager and pretty much led the process company wide and helped make it a national implementation with 26 offices and over 150 people involved
Huge savings in office rent was first win.
Second was we discovered a few Managers were incapable of doing the job with out an office staff to cover them...we demoted them.
Total cost of sale dropped but sales did not, in fact we saw some increases where incompetent managers were replaced by better people.
Anyone who thinks the Home office folks will reward you for your home office is nuts.....
I loved the move but had some peers who were way upset because they were so into "going to the office" and all that bullshit
There are excellent systems in place and available today that were not when we did it..
