Belicheat knows he doesn't have a chance this year, but I guarantee he thinks they will be in the mix next year. No way in hell they trade him to an AFC powerhouse like us.

I'll send a 4th and a bag of Cheetos, or Nick Keizer, whichever Bill prefers.

If I'm trading our first, it's for someone like Quinnen Williams.

You can't get that type of talent in the late thirties so it makes sense.

I might for Quinton Nelson, honestly.

Of course, but a guy like that will never be available.

It was a play on the name (and the desire to improve IOL.)

It's been Belichick's biggest weakness through his entire career, he's never been any good at drafting offensive skill positions. The only guy he really hit on is Gronkowski.

And the only reason he took Gronk is because he was coming out of college with back issues so his stock dropped, making him a value worth taking at that point in the draft. Even Brady was an easy choice in the 6th.

Belichick has been good at taking tweeners or guys out of position or underutilized guys, and making them shine. Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Wes Walker, Julian Edelman, etc.,. But as a drafter he sucks in the high rounds.

NE beginning the rebuild. Probably a McCourty will be traded soon.

scho63 10-28-2020 04:29 PM

I would trade a 1st and 2nd round pick for him. Dude is the real deal

McCourty brothers are both great - watched them at Rutgers games during the Schiano era but they are a little long in the tooth these days. Kenny Britt, Mohammed Sanu, Ray Rice all no longer around. Just the McCourty's

18 players from the 2007 Rutgers team played in the NFL for at least a snap.

too old, too expensive, at an area in which we already have good young talent.

I've made this argument a lot, but the difference between a GREAT corner and a GOOD corner isn't really worth the money. Not with the current rules.

Secondary is not an area of weakness for us.

It's pretty crazy how badly our secondary sucked in 2018 and how much better it got in 2019 and now 2020. We went from Nelson, Scandrick, Fuller, Murray, Parker, Sorensen and occasionally hobo Berry to Ward, Breeland, Mathieu, Thornhill, Fenton, Sneed, Sorensen and others. What a ****ing great job at upgrading the secondary.

He’s not the “real deal” this year.

Mike Vrabel was drafted by the Steelers and spent four years in Pittsburgh
