Veach gets credit for Mahomes.

What does Todd Haley have to do with anything?

He did choose them. Dorsey had final say on all draft picks. Did Veach and Reid push for those picks? I'm sure they did but Dorsey had final say.

If you want to play that game Dorsey was reportedly the scout that convinced Packers to choose Rodgers but end of day Packers GM at the time made the pick.

Dorsey didn't have final say, though. That's why they agreed to part ways. He wanted final say but didn't have it. It's pretty well known, actually.

Myles Garrett and Bradley Chubb could have owned the AFC but Dorsey was too shortsighted to see it.

Are we supposed to act like Denzel Ward isn't a good player or something?

That is such bullshit Reid repeatedly said during Dorseys tenure here that Dorsey had final say on draft picks and personnel moves. This was actually made clear Reod would not have GM control when he signed here bexause it was a disaster when he did it in Philly.

During their interview for an extension obviously something happened and the two decided to part ways but what happened is anyone's guess.

Something did happen - Dorsey wanted more autonomy. It's ****ing documented, go Google it.

Until Veach. Then suddenly we see all of his deficiencies. Veach isn't perfect either *Cough* Right Guard *Cough*

He deserves a lot of credit for un****ing the **** that Scott Franchise Killer Pioli left in ruins.

Uh-oh, you might have Covid-19. Better go see Dr. Laurent Duverney-Tardif, who opted out.

Agreed. Both Peterson and Pioli where utter douchebags. I still recall all of the water talk between negotiations with offensive lineman John Tait and Carl and how Peterson swore profusely at Tait while knowing he was a Mormon.

Two things can be true:

1. Dorsey is a damn good scout with an eye for talent.

2. Dorsey has warts that have gotten him fired twice now.

Also,

1. Dorsey played a role in Mahomes becoming a Chief and deserves some credit.

2. Veach was THE guy pounding the table for Mahomes and Reid was probably the guy he had to sell most of all.

Sit the **** down and shut the **** up!

This is my favorite argument of all time. Every where in the world it says Mahomes was drafted by Dorsey... EXCEPT in the mind of homer chiefs fans.

This is a smart move. Maybe the Lions will finally become credible.

scho63 01-24-2021 02:57 PM

Dorsey was a lot better than most people give him credit for. Far from perfect but no GM ever is.
