He chased Allen from the pocket, across he field, and up the field for about 10 yards on what should have been an easy sack. WHY IS HE SO SLOW?!??

TambaBerry 10-11-2021 07:41 AM

At this point throw Devon Key in there and see how he does. He can't be worse then Sorenson.

Kman34 10-11-2021 07:49 AM

When Ward comes back I don’t see why Fenton couldn’t play Sorensons position… Just anybody else please… I seriously was wanting Sorenson to be hit by lightning last nite…

Sassy Squatch 10-11-2021 07:53 AM

Can't honestly blame him anymore. Spagnuolo is the one putting him into position to fail.

Did anything change in the second half with Sorenson? Did they play Thornhill more or change his position? Any adjustment?

notorious 10-11-2021 07:57 AM

Dan was still out there a lot.

So far this season, that pose is the only thing HB is going to be remembered for this year.

He's going to go into next years contract talks jamming out to Shaggy.

Every. Single. Snap.

He played 100% of the defensive snaps last night. Despite being obviously washed.

This is one of the more inexplicable decisions I can ever remember. How can they still be playing him? He's getting absolutely toasted by pretty average athletes at this point. It isn't just premier guys finding space against him - your average blocking TE and/or 4th WR can work him over.

His role doesn't need to be diminished - it needs to be eliminated outright.

Brett Veach doesn't have the juevos to put the bite collar on the coaching staff by cutting the dude - but it really should be done. If they won't take him off the field, you need to do it for them.

I'm also getting more than a little tired of Mathieu's histrionics.

To watch him, you'd think he's never made a mistake. I get the frustration, but you've ****ed up plenty of times as well, boss. Every single breakdown you get some clip of him throwing his hands up and having a temper tantrum.

You think your teammates are real eager to listen to you bark at them when you continue to publicly show them up? And god help you if you've been responsible for some of those breakdowns because you'll get on many a shit list for that kind of nonsense.

And if anyone dared behave like that when he made a mistake, he'd have kittens over it.

Be a leader - not a toddler.

That's pretty much all he's done all season...I'm completely over it, makes me roll my eyes every time I see him acting like a petulant child on the field.

It's esp. eye roll worthy considering outside of one Pick 6 thrown right at him, he hasn't done much at all and this coming off the heels of wanting a new deal.

The best half of football the Chiefs defense has played this year was probably the 2nd half of the Browns game. And Mathieu wasn't a part of it.

Now that's not to say that was a particularly good half, but the defense hasn't been any better with him around throwing fits and showing guys up than it is with him in warm-ups on the sideline.

I don't think he's the largest part of the problem, but I don't see how anyone could argue he's been anything resembling a solution to this point.

Chris Meck 10-11-2021 08:38 AM

It's time to blow up that side of the ball entirely again.

All of them, even time to trade Jones. Clark, HB, Hitchens, Ward. Every single player that we're paying any real money.

I'd rather have two decent but unspectacular DE's than one Clark. Two decent safeties than one HB. Jones is so wildly inconsistent, even at DT that it's not worth it.

Scrap the whole damned thing, get some mid priced decent guys in here, run an aggressive scheme with some decent athletes and start over with your Sneeds, Boltons, and Gays.

I cannot fathom why he continues to see the field over Thornhill.

It reminds me of when Jerome Woods hit the wall. He broke his leg, then came back, had one good season, then was terrible forever.
