My next step would be making bullet points in the OP of what objectives need to be met and what obstacles need to be tackled so everyone can review them and determine if they can help. Update them as needed to document progress and challenges still being faced. When an objective is met document as appropriate as possible and the same when a new challenge is introduced.

Keep the troops up to date and make them feel like part of the team.

That wasn't directed at you, I was using examples from two people here who have organized highway signage and large parties, and I was being snarky about the latter.

Sorry for the confusion, this is a great idea, which is why I was a little vocal about Easy6 mentioning the bowing out...
