Well in a post apocalyptic world it's nice to know you'd be good at something. :thumb:

For centuries, probably millennia, people have been predicting or preparing for the end of the world.

It just keeps turning.

You're the perfect candidate for this thread, lets start with what do you keep in the truck?

Truck

First aid kit, one big enough to treat 4 people
2 tarps
2 space blankets
Lots of 550 cord
Some bungee cords
Camp knife with striker for fire starting
Bag of cotton balls covered in petroleum jelly
Water filter straw
canteen
Camping cookware set
Compass
Solar charger and battery pack
Headlamp with extra batteries
Extra socks
Gloves

All of this fits in a small 24 hour pack that fits in the tool box. Might be missing some stuff. This pack is a supplement my bigger kit/will get my by until I get my bigger kit. I also have a couple pouches attached to it that is for ammo, 9mm for my pistol I always carry, and 5.56 for my rifle

Shelter, fire, water, light... yep, you're all set for a short term event with that kit

Can't say enough good things about a simple cotton ball covered in vaseline, there are sooo many fire starting products out there but none can touch them for effectiveness or price... just one burns like hell for about 5 minutes with just a few sparks

Nope. I’m dead in the first wave of chewing. My son is in pretty good shape. He is good with tools and making stuff. He might make it.

I used to work with a guy who was a bit of a white power type. His plan was to wait out the race war in his neighbor's basement because they were Mormon (the neighbor) and he knew they'd have what he needed.

living on the water is a threat. We are ready for hurricanes. Have important bug out papers and what really matters to us in one place. We ride it out, we have coolers, water, TP ready to go. Can go at least two weeks without power. We live in a highly established flood zone. Everybody knows what to do if one’s coming for you.

Only time we bugged out was when a cat 1 hurricane hit our house straight on. The total “damage”was a bunch of palm tree frawns in the pool. Got $500 from FEMA to refill the refrigerator.

Sounds like a horrible plan

Plenty of ammo, if push comes to shove, I’ll become a modern day alchemist and turn that lead into gold as needed.

Fatties gonna die first. Just remember that too. Some weekly cardio now would probably better your odds more than what's in your bag..

Hog's Gone Fishin 12-10-2021 05:00 PM

It cracks me up people saying ammo. You gonna shoot someone to take their shit???

Guns and ammo are for self defense and harvesting meat.
