No doubt whatever they drank during halftime to rehydrate was spiked. Pats throws were off and the receivers couldn't catch. Clear evidence. Pretty sure Belechick had some thing to do with it as he wants to keep his dynasty legacy alive.

After 13 seconds why should he be scared though?

That's the biggest thing that haunts me about this game is why it happened.

The easiest explanation is that Patrick got rattled but that's just really bad if he gets that rattled that easily.

Whether or not this exact event actually occurred, it's pretty clear something got into Mahomes' head at an extreme level.

Something happened in that locker room at halftime, that much is obvious. Mahomes and Kelce both came out looking they couldn't give two shits about the game. Mahomes was running around like a dude who never played QB in his life. You can't tell me he's never seen 8 men in coverage before to the point where he literally couldn't complete a pass.

Very strange.

Mafia probably sent a couple goons to the locker room and told them they aren’t winning this game.

It would explain a lot. But it’s so damn uncharacteristic. Perhaps mahomes wearing this collapse is a good teachable moment for him.

That would be Roger Goodell

I did notice Patrick looked gassed the last couple games. Bags under his eyes like he's not sleeping and lethargic.

He's got too many irons on the fire.

PAChiefsGuy 01-31-2022 04:09 PM

Maybe they were doing blow with Lawrence Taylor at halftime for some extra adrenaline and they got too high.

Yeah - that was biggest change I noticed.

The defense stayed pretty fired up. But Mahomes and Kelce were just really reserved. And those two really are the guys that drive that bus emotionally.

It's possible that 4 years of grinding, being on top, being the best, the constant pressure, the constant doubt from others when you have a bad game, it all took it's toll somehow at halftime. Perhaps uncharacteristic things were said out of frustration in the locker room, who knows.

All I know is, we have NEVER seen this out of Pat. He's had bad halves of football, but this time he made Cassel look like a great quarterback. It's not like him. Something happened, we'll never know what.

Take some time off. We still have the best team in the AFC, but we're not alone at being great. The pressure is only going to mount more. It's a big boy game, and our guys are human. Maybe it'll be a good thing in the long run, knowing that the only reason you lost this game was because of yourselves, not the other team.

Though, I have to give it to Burrow, he was out of his mind on some of those scrambles.

Mahomes and the other Chiefs player have openly talked about being a dynasty and winning multiple Super Bowls… so if they are “fatigued” from the pressure of maintaining an 18 point lead at home vs an inferior opponent that’s pretty weak.

Makes no sense to me at all how this happened? You win you're in the SB. This team quit or what it's a huge ass mystery how they collapsed so bad.
You have the ****ing lead and still control at half. Just unbelievable.

Agreed. I wish they would've been asked what the **** happened? This loss will bother me for a long time. Hopefully they can make the SB again with Kelce and Hill.
