Pro-rate it over 16 games (it's just more intuitive than 17) and you're looking at a 1,250 yard receiver on at 68% catch rate w/ 11 touchdowns.

Yeah - real piece of shit, that guy.

Why do you think Dallas is dumping him?

The Franchise 03-04-2022 11:23 AM

The scheme fit is obvious. It's all going to come down to money if Veach wants to go after him.

Yup. Dallas should cut Zeke, not Cooper. Pollard is 2x the player at this point.

MarkDavis'Haircut 03-04-2022 11:26 AM

Cooper is Jekyll and Hyde. Some games he looks unstoppable and then other games he just flat disappears.

I think he is bipolar and really doesn't want love love football.

But he is talented. So he will become the Cook of WRs. Forever bouncing from team to team. Good enough to play but not liked enough to stay.

Because it's a $20 million roster bonus so it all hits the cap for 2022. Very few teams are excited to spend $20 million in cap space on a WR especially when they've already set $18 million on fire for a below average RB who might be the 3rd best back on their team.

People call Frank Clark a probable 'cap casualty' when the reality is he's getting cut because he wasn't very good. Cooper was good - but he's a TRUE cap casualty. If the Cowboys could keep him, they would.

But please, tell me more about how awful he was in the playoffs.

So you're suggesting that we let OBJ walk and sign Cooper with that money?

If it came to that, yeah.

I love the people talking about how Cooper doesn't "love football". Talk out your ass some more like you know Cooper as a person.

Jesus.

He's also the guy that really turned the Cowboys offense around when they acquired him.

Let's face it - consistency is nice, but with Hill and Kelce on the field, it isn't vital. And do you think he's a guy who's going to check out in the post-season when we really need him?

But I think it's all moot because I'm just not willing to make the financials work with him.

Fair warning. A couple of years ago, Dallas was playing in a must win game. On the final drive, Cooper was MIA for either the whole drive or the last few big plays. In obvious passing downs.

He's a ****ing bum and expensive. Hard pass. Hill will cost enough. We need a solid cheaper option.

This right here is enough to sign him.

That's insane. Drop a pro bowl LT for a WR who will be 3rd in line for targets.

Again, you need to look at the game logs. He has a 2 catch 10 yard performance in there.

Cooper isn't going to get that much but he's likely to get close to Tyreek money (assuming Tyreek gets a new contract soon) and that's not doable considering all the other needs we have.

That's how I see it, too.

philfree 03-04-2022 11:39 AM

It has Raiders and Cowboy stank on it so no thanks.

Sassy Squatch 03-04-2022 11:43 AM

Remember he actually had a larger contract offer on the table from WFT last time he was up for free agency. May not just go to the highest bidder although being #3 here probably isn't the most appealing situation out there.
