I’m not a huge fan of the Booth pick, but I wouldn’t hate it. He had a few bad games last year that gave me pause when I was looking at corners for the CP mock. I think the reasons are correctable though.

I feel our biggest need is CB then edge. Grab Gardner then Ojabo or Boye with 30. Travis Jones or Logan Hall at 50 and best WR available at 62.

Or stay at 29 and get a CB (Booth, Elam, McDuffie, Gordon). At 30 take Ojabo and follow it up with Boye at 50. Frank Clark is absolutely horrible so we need to people off the edge.
At 62 we have some nice picks of WR. |

I’m taking Ojabo with the intent to take another edge guy snd signing a vet or drafting 3 total edge guys. Every team that contends needs 2-3 edge guys anyway snd this class depth allows us to do that at a discount. If Ojabo never regains his explosiveness, we would still have 2 edge guys next year and if he does, we have a Von/Shaq/Ware kind of situation for 4-5 years…both scenarios solve the problem with similar resources it would take to move up for an elite edge guy in most drafts from where we will be picking in the forseable future. If we get Karlaftis and Ojabo…then add another edge guy in the 3rd or fourth (Williams, Isiah, Cam or any of 4-5 others) as a hedge pick for the Ojabo pick….we could afford to extend Chris Jones instead of trading him because of the value from this draft. |

All of this talk of hedging your bets so you can take a huge question mark in Ojabo is just foolish. |

The difference with Ojabo is his upside is the best pass rusher from this class and a guy that can play end or OLB in this defense…that’s another part of why I’d take 3. You can get all 3 on the field at the same time to overload if you want while also mainly rotating the 3 to keep them fresh. I’m not the only one that sees a lot of DT in him. |
They're gonna trade 29 or 30 for a pass rusher before the draft anyway, so I woudln't worry about it.
