His biggest issue is his lack of speed on the 2nd level. The shiftyness is there. He's shown power too.
The problem is that the holes close on HIM moreso than you'd expect from an NFL back. They close on him fast because he doesn't have the speed to take advantage of the holes before they close.
He's missing a gear. It was something that was overlooked in college. I don't think myself (or anyone really) ever realized that his speed would be THAT much of an issue. No one thought he'd be a home run hitter. But no one thought it'd be so much a hinderance that he couldn't at least make the most out of what's there. If he could do that, there'd be no problem.
Like i said, he's missing that final gear.
He's a 3-speed Muncie when the world has moved on to 10-speed Autos.
