tyreek never gets that wide open on the game-clinching TD (bracketed wherever he goes in critical situations), and tyreek never gets that coverage on the 3rd and 11 MVS ripped off

yes, we are better, period, because those plays are now open, and they weren't last year

In a 'rebuilding year', we were a couple of dumb mistakes away from beating what anyone would consider the most complete team in football.

We're going to be fine.

This team is still 'becoming' what it will be in December and January.

We just hung 44 on the #1 defense in football.

We just have to execute, and they'll get more consistent as they go.

We're going to be fine.

Skyy is going to start emerging next year, and may emerge more late this year.

JuJu has already taken a pay cut to play here, he may take a sweetheart deal to stay. MVS is under contract.

Mecole is a FA, will probably get a deal elsewhere to net us a comp pick. Watson is a FA but will almost certainly want to stay, and stay cheap.

The Chiefs have more draft picks to continue building that unit, and Veach's draft picks have been stellar the last two years. Andy Reid could use a #1 elite option but if you give him more speed he's going to be just fine.

Travis Kelce looks so damn good I'd be willing to trade Noah Gray, but keeping him and Fortson keeps that unit elite. Blake Bell is a luxury we can afford to part with, but the Chiefs love him so who knows.

Gotta either keep McKinnon or get a similar RB who can kill in the passing game.

If they land a WR in the 1st who can wreck man coverage, it's over for the next two years folks.

Just a good time to be a Chiefs fan.

I'm not sold on a WR in the 1st when we have greater needs. Ross is an unknown, but I think he'll be better than Hardman. See if we can extend Juju and I believe we're good.

I'm not giving up Gray or Fortson. Once we started using the 3 TEs today, our running game improved. I don't think McKinnon is going to be too expensive, either.

Your “on pace for” stats are being skewed by Kelce’s 4 TD and Hardman’s 3 TD games. Those are outliers.

not really, we're 7 games in

can easily point to any 0 TD game to counter that

When you consider that defenses were just going to sit back in two deep all day and force Tyreek to be a possession receiver, no he's not crazy at all.

Defenses now are playing us in man and betting our WR's can't beat them. Well, they're starting to beat it. Now what are you going to do?

Wait until we start committing to running the ball. (LOL just kidding. Although, if they figure out a way to cover everyone, we just might.)

So why don't they go back to playing deep if we were less than effective against it?

most of tape this season is the chiefs killing you underneath

the 49ers in their hubris and arrogance as the #1 defense thought they could crowd the short zones and play the run on the way to the QB, and make us pay

instead they paid...the patrick price

Because Mahomes

He is playing better than he was last year. He‘ll pick you apart. He’s the main reason we are leading the NFL in scoring offense.

In my mind, it was always about spreading the money around due to the potential for injury. I love Reek, but if he's taking up an enormous chunk of the cap and gets hurt, we're ****ed. Bert has taken a similar approach to the CB position and has kept us out of a JC Jackson-like situation.

I’m glad you’re coming around to what we tried to tell you all offseason. Remember when you trolled about us maybe scoring 26-27ppg.

The offense is only going to get better as the season progresses, too. These guys aren’t clicking on all cylinders yet and that’s terrifying for the rest of the nfl when we’re dropping 40 burgers on defenses like SF and Tampa.

oldman 10-24-2022 07:33 AM

I agree, give this O a bye week to work a little more and see what happens. We went into the season with 1 guy, plus Kelce, that knew the system and PMII. Doubling Kelce and playing a 2 deep shell isn't going to cut it anymore.

htismaqe 10-24-2022 07:35 AM

First time in 22 years that the Chiefs had two WR's go over 100 yards.

Do you think the issue that game was WRs, gameplan, or OL?

IMO, the biggest issue that game was OL followed by gameplan.
