A workforce that is being treated badly you say... please, some of these folks wouldn't know a 6 hour day, let alone a 12 hour day of work based on their own words... Elon's only hope is to semi-blow it up and see if he can make it more efficient.

Twitter has a lot of issues. I had hoped he could fix some issues because there’s still potential. But you’re giving him way too much credit. It’s not a huge deal that he blew up the staffing. He has no idea what he’s doing and he’s making hugely expensive mistakes and correcting after the fact because he has no idea what he’s doing.

Crazy what's happening on Twitter right now. Rumor is that their entire HR department has resigned. Some reports saying that 1/3 of the remaining force has quit today. Musk is the very definition of capitalist scum. Treating emoloyees as if they were his cattle.

Sounds to me like a bunch of spoiled brats that don't like that their new boss actually expects the company to make money and his employees to.....well....you know....do some work.

Most mods were MIA at one point? Tell us more about that.

CP was here years before Twitter, it stands to reason it'll be here for years after Twitter is gone, Musk or no Musk.

It's pretty funny, because I lurked on this board since way back in the day when the KC Star board went down when I was just a teenager. Didn't register for years and years because I assumed this board would meet the same fate as that one and all the other little ones that sprung up afterwards, yet here it is, still rolling. I don't believe any of the other ones are still even around.

It's a nice place. I mean it's a total cesspool, but it's nice. :thumb:

It goes both ways though. There was also the spoiled brat that thought he could just light things on fire without a plan. The blue check fiasco was a multi billion dollar disaster. And he’s probably going to get penalized out the wazoo for his total lack of strategy blowing up content moderation in spite of strict European regulations. I am interested in seeing big shakeups at Twitter but this ain’t it. Sell it to someone with similar thinking who actually understands content tech.

I've got a special deal on some land in Yuma AZ for anyone who thinks Twitter will be shut down any time soon. As soon as the big one hits California and it falls into the Pacific, this land will be worth AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE. DM me for the deets.

~2016-17 ...various reasons, I was personally pretty burned out on this place and was in the middle of moving to AZ at one point, and others were also too busy and/or burned out.

Daface fixed his shit, we got larger beer fridges in the Mod lounge and an extra day of PTO, 20% raises... and it's all good now.

(didn't notice one of my links wasn't in the Lounge)
