I dunno. I find the Tomahawk chop pretty cringe. I'd rather just drop all of that stuff, it's dumb.

I can definitely understand how the chop is sketchier than Chiefs.

But I think it's cool to have a chant that gets the crowd going and a stadium chant that is unique to the team. It isn't just We Will Rock You or Seven Nation Army or whatever the latest fad is.

I heard the chop while watching the SB and you of course knew who was singing it.

That can be hard to replace...

The chop is dumb, and it's not even our chant really. But if you give an inch to these morons it'll be the Kansas City Good Footballers. The appropriate response to this stuff is a simple "No." and a refusal to play their games.

I love the name and just because white soccer mom's are wanting something to whine about and a couple of super tiny Native American orgs have nothing better to do doesn't mean it's a racist name. The mental gymnastics required to make "Chiefs" a derogatory, racist, or mockingly name is pretty impressive however.

I've never heard anyone explain how the name Chiefs is demeaning, racist, derogatory, or stereotypical. I think I'd find it pretty cool for an NFL franchise to associate with my heritage.

I don't care if they change the name or not, but we should at least be honest. They are named after a fake Native American. Bartle was called Chief because of his ridiculous boy scout "chief" persona which included awful dress up costumes. Not a really good excuse.

Change it. Don't change it. Whatever. But we should start a new tradition because the chop isn't tradition, and it sucks. They could get someone to write a new song just for the games so we can do the we're gonna beat the hell out of you again. The stadium was awesome then. Imagine if we scored as many touchdowns as now!!!
