Yeah, that can be annoying. My biggest pet peeve up here in Oregon is that people continually go the speed limit in the left lane. Dude, if you want to go the speed limit...stick in the right lane. But now you're blocking the other people who want to get by you.

I get annoyed with people on a freeway on ramp who don't get up to highway speed before trying to merge.

No one should cruise in the left lane. It's for passing.

You aren't cruising in the left lane, per se. But if there is no one on the road or they're spread out far enough apart....I'll go 80 in the left lane. That's in a 65 MPH zone.

But I also am aware of traffic around me. I'm not going 80 and weaving through traffic. Just like if I'm going 75 and some guy wants to come up behind me...I'll get over.

I assumed it was pretty much common for people to go 5-10 over the speed limit, unless you're in an area where the cops are known for being dicks.

Dude....go drive in California for a couple of months. You'll end up dead if you don't keep up with traffic. And traffic goes 75-80 MPH on the freeway.

Been in Oregon for 3 years now and have never been pulled over. But I also don't blow by cop cars going 80 either. See one? Slow down to around 70 MPH and they won't bother you. They're looking for the people who are weaving in and out of cars at a high rate of speed.
