Again, so what? You assume that the point of baseball is to win the contrived, everybody gets in stupid donkament they put on after the season ends. You assumed wrong. Not all baseball fans care about that. The beauty of baseball is in the game itself. When I go to an Angels game, and the Angels win cause Mike Trout hit a 3 run homer, I don't make a point to tell my kids that this was all meaningless cause come fall, there is a good chance that the Angels won't fare well in the tournament.

Me and my kids enjoy the win that we saw, and we enjoy the homer that Mike Trout hit. You're easily pursuaded to nonsense if you think that was a "waste of time" because come the fall, when the donkament started, the Angels didn't win the donkament. My kids on that night when I took them to an Angel game to see Mike Trout and Ohtani play? They weren't sweating 5 months in the future about the donkament. That's shit that football fans that have only a passing familiarity with baseball would say. Such as yourself, DJLN.

The baseball playoffs are meaningless to me as an Angels fan and a fan of baseball as its played in the US. I don't care about the donkament. The donkament has different rules that don't apply to regular games of baseball, such as in the donkament, you get so many off-days, you only need two starting pitchers. That's not baseball. In baseball, you need a 5-man rotation at minimum (the Angels, to accommodate Ohtani, use a 6-man rotation).

You're the one that focuses so much on donkaments. It's fine for football but it doesn't fit baseball at all. I don't even watch the baseball postseason. When the fantasy baseball season ends, so does baseball to your boy VK.

You can’t be serious. Just admit the Angels are a loser organization that have wasted Ohtani and Trout.

I'm about to if the Royals keep getting shut out. I'm in 11 fantasy leagues Mr. Rabbi and only 2 of them are for fun. The rest are for investment purposes. I have players like Salvy and Witt Jr. and MJ and Massey and they are doing ****ing nothing and some of them have already been benched and replaced by garbage.

What optimism does a Royal bettor like me even have anymore?

Of course they won’t fare well in the tournament. They rarely make it in!

Your definition of "waste" is spurious and stupid. Did the Chiefs "waste" Tony Gonzalez? Did the Chiefs "waste" Jamaal Charles? Did the Chiefs "waste" Will Shields? If the Chiefs had had a complete scrub in their positions, they wouldn't have won any fewer Super Bowls. So the Chiefs were wasteful and we Chiefs fans got zero out of them being Chiefs at all?

Did the Cubs "waste" Ernie Banks?

You're obsessed with a postseason donkament that doesn't mean anything.

No championships are awarded for regular season success or individual player performances.

The Angels are an abomination and sorry ass excuse of a Mickey Mouse franchise.

RealSNR 04-01-2023 06:30 PM

That’s like me as a Timberwolves fan saying the postseason doesn’t matter because I was in attendance when Kevin Love went 30-for-30

The answer to every single one of your questions is yes.

I promise if you asked all of those players if they’d trade a title for their individual records they would.

It’s not a “donkament”.

What a waste of oxygen.

It's hilarious that VK denigrates the tournament because "everybody gets in" when the Angels have managed to get in once in 10 years. Lawl.

The Chiefs certainly wasted Jamaal Charles

As a DC guy and Nats fan, I’ll say that Rendon was known here as a pretty cool guy, a calm character, nice guy. To me it looked like he was just swiping at the guy’s cap. I’ll give Rendon the benefit of the doubt.

The Angels have a 0-3 playoff record since Trout staked his claim as one of the greatest players to ever play the game. And now they have Ohtani and the only reason he isn't MVP every year is because the Angels ****ing suck and dont make the playoffs. Imagine thinking those 2 players aren't being wasted on that team.

The three greatest accomplishments in Angels history are:
1. 2002 WS
2. Having a historic collapse in 1995 before losing a play-in tiebreaker to the Mariners in the AL West
3. Being featured in a movie by their then Disney owners in Angels in the Outfield

What a poverty franchise.
