OP I have those exact shoes for work and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I developed Planter Fasciitis and putting these shoes on I immediately had comfort versus the Adidas I wore. They've held up pretty well.

Also, you can get them cheaper at a local shoe store. You should also have your foot measured by a knowledgeable shoes salesman to get the correct fit.

Have had several pairs and your lower back and knees will thank you immensely BUT you have to make sure you get the "plush sole". They have 3 different types of soles for different type of walking/running activities. Get the "plush sole" ONLY for their other 2 type of soles are no different from the competition. Only gripe I have with the "plush sole" is it doesn't last long BUT you do feel like you are on a trampoline all day long.:thumb:

But my wife started working one shift a week at a shoe store - mainly so that she and my daughter can get the employee discount (50%) on shoes.

At that price, considering all that I had heard about them, I figured I'd give Hokas a try, and picked up a pair of Cliftons-9s. Little did I know that my life was about to change. As I reflect upon my life now, I can't help but see it in terms of B.H. and A.H.

I think most of us get to a certain age, and we become almost impossible to impress. But I was definitely impressed by these shoes. With the combination of the weird arch and the almost shocking lack of weight the shoes have, I would go as far as to say I was blown away by them. Within about a week of owning them, I was all, "Asics who?"

The photo below is the color I got for my first pair. If you're trying to decide on a color, I believe it's hard to go wrong with blue and orange. (That being said, I have my eyes on an orange and blue pair that I find to be quite appealing.)

Brooks Ghost Max is better.
I also work at a hospital and walk over 35,000 steps a day. I have had the Hoka's, the On Running, and the Saucony brands. The Brooks Ghost Max is the best I have had, the second best is the Saucony.

Well they do make shoes for the "transgender crowd" kid you not. Try to make sense of that. That's when I dropped them as a consumer.

Shoes are an area where diversity of choice is a really good thing. There are some brands that are fine brands, but they just don't quite fit me right, and others that fit perfectly. Asics fit me for longer distance running or walking, though they're a little heavy. But it's worth the weight. Saucony is nice and light for shorter distances, and they're almost perfect in fit. I go with Nikes for my everyday shoes because they're comfortable, and in a pinch I can use them for short running distances.

I've tried on most of the notable brands, but those three work best for me.

Well, if loving me some Hoka Clinton-9s is gay, then I guess I don't want to be straight.

Because Hoka, I don't know how to quit you.
