They managed it perfect this year. Give him extra breaks like NE did with Gronk for years. You want him rested when it matters.

Now that Mahomes has won two road playoff games, I predict that "Let's see what Mahomes does without Kelce" will become the new rallying cry of the haters.

He has no reason to walk away unless he's literally marrying Taylor Swift.

My youngest daughter swears he’s gonna propose under the confetti after we go back to back.

Then it will be "Let's see what he does without Reid."

Then, "Let's see what he does on a different franchise."

Some people will never be satisfied.

Funny you should say that, because that is precisely what I heard on sports talk radio just a couple hours ago here in Texas.

He can make more than that in media.

I'm not saying he will or should retire. Players get relaxed off the season and decide to call it quits after a great career.

There's literally a prop bet that will happen

I think he has too much respect for the team to take the spotlight away from their achievement by doing that.

That being the case, I hope he does it privately. That would be hilarious.

Kiimo 01-30-2024 04:17 PM

Yeah I feel like a lot of people got in on the "nope" side of that bet early and the odds shifted dramatically

We have no idea if they're anywhere near that serious or even if either of them WANT to be married. All of the assumptions that they're at that level are just as weird and sad to me as the discussions about him retiring.

Tee Higgins - FA

Ben Sinnott TE - Draft

Valid point. Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell have been together 40 years without marriage. Common law spouses at this point of course.

Please keep this about sports but seriously what is the deal with all these bullshit stories? I don't think I've ever seen anything like this. It's not even just twisting stories around. A lot of this content are flat out making up stories out of thin air. And some of them so whacky it's surprising someone would have the audacity to make it up. Of course social media content has always been problematic but it feels like it's been especially bad this year.

The Reid retirement narrative seems ridiculous but at least there's a sports reporter who will eat it when it's proven wrong. It feels like we've reached a point where between all the clickbait and the AI theres no reputational consequence anymore to making shit up. I mean Reid and Travis have both directly said they're gonna keep going and we still have to listen to this nonsense
