Will be interesting to learn when the dropping his left leg thing actually started. I know I've noticed it before but I don't think it every stuck to me as intentional or happening every time. Apparently it was going at least back to 2023.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Apparently Harrison Butker did this in 2023 too. I wonder if he’s done it since his left ankle injury in 2022, or maybe he’s had a small meniscus tear for a while and has avoided planting to avoid shear force in his left knee. <br><br>Very odd kicking method. <a href="https://t.co/EJXJfdjjV0">https://t.co/EJXJfdjjV0</a></p>— Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT (@jmthrivept) <a href="https://twitter.com/jmthrivept/status/1857184674558378134?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 14, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

Guys, plant legs are still kind of important for kickers.
But it’s good it looks like he’ll be back in December. |
Butker out for 3-4 weeks...

Im going to look at tbis as a blessing. Hopefully it forces Reid/Mahomes to get more aggressive putting the ball in tje freaking endzone. 4 down territory all game type mentality.
With that said, it will be harder to win close games without the best kicker in the league. Butker is a huge weapon. |
The season's not over, but let's be honest here - our injury-depleted offense has fully embraced the grind-it-out mentality, and that results in more stalled drives. Losing our nails long distance field goal kicker is going to cost us points, and considering the way we've been winning this season, that's a ****ing problem.
Hopefully the offense will step shit up to counter it. |
Justin Reid has this!!
