What are the odds the offense improves with a hobbled Mahomes? A focus on getting back to the basics: quick passes, running the ball, screens, etc.

Mahomes could have continued playing today, we’re told, if the game had been tight. But the X-rays were negative, and the Chiefs hope the ankle won’t swell like a balloon tomorrow morning.

He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter. He was replaced by Carson Wentz.

The Chiefs face the Texans on Saturday, and the Steelers the following Monday.
