I think some of that is due to them cutting back on Hunt's carries to make sure he is fresh for the playoffs and the emergence of Worthy.

I admit though I became really down on Pacheco after he couldn't even get 1 yard on 2 straight downs. cmon man..

I’m fine with Pacheco starting.

But Hunt should definitely be used in critical short yardage situations. Hes just better at it than Pacheco.

Yep. Hunt is a very good short yardage back.

Do you guys not remember how cooked Hunt looked before Pacheco came back? Let Pacheco do the dirty work and wear them down. Hunt should be short yardage and situational.

Pacheco can't wear them down though, he has terrible vision. He's got speed but unless the hole is where it's supposed to be blocked at, he's not squeezing thru anything like Hunt does.

They need to find a back this offseason.

Im with you there. Pacheco's physically punishing in the sense that he is going to run into you full speed, will not give up on a play until its over and you have to respect his speed. I'd personally give hunt everything inside the 10 and under 3 yards to convert. I love Pachecos attitude but he is a limited back. When the passing game is clicking he's a good enough RB1 but I think its always been preferable to upgrade if possible. This years draft has some guys I'd like as Chiefs. But we have a lot of needs.

Nailed it. His last carry against the Texans was sweet!

If I'm handing the ball off to a running back and asking him to get one yard and the entire defense knows this than that running back should be able to squat 500 pounds, minimum. No exceptions. No way in all hell should they be giving the ball to some undersized speedy back on fourth and one. Very puzzling. The only explanation is Steele is in Reid's doghouse and Hunt is playing hurt.

What is all this slander? Pacheco has been a really good RB for 2 championship Chiefs teams. He's coming back from a broken leg, can we just chill?

Hunts vision kind of exposed Pachecos lack of vision. When you see Hunt consistently slide past the DL then push the LB even when nothing is blocked particularly well it makes it hard to watch Pacheco miss a cut back and run 100 miles an hour into a guards ass. I still appreciate him and all he does its just what really keeps him from being a top tier back.

I think you're spot on here. He's a fine back. All things equal, he's good enough and he's cheap so you def bring him back next year.

But I'd like to have someone with better vision and some more pass catching ability.

He never should have been given that chance when we had Hunt standing over on the sidelines.

O.city 12-23-2024 09:39 AM

I'd bring Kareem back for sure.

This.

Getting 1 yard is Hunts game. Running it with Pacheco there is just a poor coaching decision.

O.city 12-23-2024 09:50 AM

Pacheco has always had these issues, it just doesn't matter as much because we're a passing team and he's a RB.

O.city 12-23-2024 09:51 AM

Playing RB is alot more about feel than "speed".
