Hah.

You should get some reps just for that post alone. :)

Well, you're not quote transparent yet. But, if your ass gets any more white, you'll be clear. :)

We can miss what they "could" have brought this year. I thought both represented the way that KC was going to improve on offense.

OK, so an MRI before the cuts showed it wasn't torn and a new MRI shows a tear?

Morton better run on tat until it ruptures. :cuss:

I believe it's old and new reports mixed. Vermeil said nothing about it, and I've been listening to 810 all day, and they've said nothing about it. Morton practiced this morning.

Stick with it TRR. You're in the right place.

Anybody that thinks we'd be better off heading to Denver with a undrafted rookie over a veteran is on something.

I think Richard Smith has a ton of potential, but I'd really like to start the season 1-0.

Yep. I totally agree.

Morton's going to light the Donkeys up. :D

RealSNR 09-10-2004 06:59 PM

WTF? I would feel much safer with Morton in the game than a rookie or even Hall.

This offense was clicking with Morton on the field last year. He brings experience, something that Smith doesn't have against a VERY difficult division foe ON THEIR HOME TURF.

Even if Smith did some nice things in the game if he played, he would likely screw a lot of things up as well. That's why Vermeil and Co. have guys like Kennison and Morton in the game and not the young guys everyone loves.

While I think Smith and possibly Parker will eventually become very good offensive weapons for our ballclub. We need to be realistic and realize this is a pretty complicated offensive scheme. The games they played in preseason was very vanilla scheme that only used a small portion of the playbook. You can't expect a rookie to just come in here, and not only adjust to the speed of the NFL. But, have to learn the entire playbook and run precise routes at the same time. You saw what happened Trent's first season when he had to deal with guys running the wrong direction. I'm sure Al has several plays already drawn up in which we'll see Smith and Parker on the field. However, this offense needs to be running on all cylinders while the defense is learning a different scheme. Expecially if you look at our opponents this year. We have to face some VERY tough defenses this year in which we can ill afford rookies to learn on the fly.

When I was in High School we didn't have video games so all the geeks were on the chess team while the cool people went out for sports. Now all the geeks I run into use terms like "uber geeks"
