Hey guys, I’m out for next weekend. Might be out of here for a while too. Too much bullshit with this franchise.

You guys have fun next weekend though!

Why Not? 01-06-2018 09:44 PM

Hahaha. Can't make it next week either fellas. I forgot I have plans to watch real QB's play

I'm going to go and act like it's us playing. Who's in?!

eDave 02-20-2018 09:53 PM

I have a slight interest in getting together for some Spring Training. Practice or game.

Anyone else feel the same?

Perhaps. Problem is, I'm already ditching a day of work to take one of my boys to the Dbacks game on his bday(3/8)and I'm not missing any of the NCAA tourney for an ST game. I could be down for a game the first weekend in March?

I'm up for whatever. An actual spring training game can be a cluster to get tickets for. Had a good time at a practice with Dog last year.

Hey, we could do a Sweet 16 or Final Four thing as well. I don't get to see enough of you.

Thanks for editing the title for us, Modulators.

I'll be around 3/10-3/17. Staying in Tempe this year. Off the top of my head, I'll be at KC/LA in Glendale and KC/Cubs in Surprise, both of which are weekday afternoon games though.

We plan to set up shop somewhere and watch the first round of the tourney for sure.

It's football season once again and it's time to plan our next Phoenix area meetup!

Depending on how the season goes, I'm thinking the Oct 28th home game against the Broncos.

It will be our 8th game and unless we are 1-6 or 2-5 or god forbid 0-7 it should be a good time.

Thoughts or suggestions from the peanut gallery? :hmmm:

For those of us located here in the Phoenix area, mark your calendars for Saturday November 10th for Novembeer, beer festival sponsored by Phoenix New Times.

Lot's of great brewers including Boulevard from KC! Some excellent other ones like Odell, Victory, Stone, Duvel, Kona

Should be fun. I plan on attending this one.

https://www.novembeer.com/

eDave 09-28-2018 01:21 PM

Reerun will be in town on 10/18 for a layover. I will be hanging with him that night to watch the Denver/AZ game. It will be in Scottsdale, where he will be, and anyone is free to join us.

I'm seeing if Vail can join or if he is going to be at the game. Considering buying some tickets and attending if so.

His schedule could change. I've updated the OP with current peeps.

He's in Poland right now.

Nice, thanks for the head's up... VIP is pretty 'meh' for +$20 (compared to KC Beerfest, where you get in an hour early, a free tshirt, access to a lot of free food (and water), a large seating area, and rare beer samples).... but, still might do it for the convenience of getting in early.

Scho could drink Clay under the table with white wine.

In the 3 hours we watched a game together Scho had 3 heavy duty IPAs followed by about 4 glasses of white wine. Clay would need to be carried home after all that.

No shit. Wine after beer? Or for any reason? Why?
3 beers is a good warm up before going to jack and cokes or maker’s sevens or slow eddies and soda.
3 hours of drinking is about 12 drinks. If it keeps going after that you really start to hit your stride.

I can drink beer and wine all night long at 55 with no hangover but I love Vodka and after drinking 2 or 3 or 4 or more Tito's with grapefruit I get a body ache hangover, tired and sore but no headache. I also like to drink Oban 14 year or a Jamesons shot with a beer.

"3 beers is a good warm up before going to jack and cokes or maker’s sevens or slow eddies and soda."

This lends me to believe you're mixing?

I almost always start with a nice bourbon neat.

Followed by a Stout or Porter.

Then on top lighter beers if I continue.

Depends on the day though. Sometimes I just roll all beer too. Or all cocktails.

You going somewhere to watch the game tonight? :hmmm:

scho63 10-09-2018 02:55 PM

So what says the Phoenix crew?

Is the October 28th game a go against Denver?

The game starts at 10am so you can come for the meet up, get drunk early, go home and sex the wife after we beat the Donkeys, take a nap and have dinner. Or if you're Lewdog, come and sip wine coolers, go home and change the kids diapers and do chores for the wife.

Need to check because I don't think Two Brothers Tap House doesn't open until 11am.

We would probably need to meet at a true sports bar. Maybe Duke's down on Thomas?

lewdog 10-09-2018 07:15 PM

I'll see what I can do when that week comes.

I do love me Duke's bar.

I know I have a sophisticated reputation here but I really like dive sports bars like Duke's, so this is enticing.
