And he strikes him out. Indians win, Yankees eliminated again.

Don't worry. When the New Yankee stadium opens in 2009 they'll have even more money to spend. The money they put into the new stadium is deducted from their luxury tax.
I hate the Yankees.

Yep. As far as I'm concerned, a Yankmees/Red Sux matchup is nothing more than an intersquad game. I hope Cleveland kicks the shit out of them and goes on to win the World Series. Not a Cleveland fan, but I think it would be great to see the WS Champ come from the midwest for the third straight year.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-08-2007 10:05 PM

I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Indians. I was out in Ohio the last two years, and aside from Fox and ESPN, the only games I could watch were either Tiger or Indians games. The Indians have a really cool team.

Cliff Lee is a hell of a guy who has dealt with a lot of family problems
Grady Sizemore is pretty involved in the community, Sabathia and Hafner are down to earth, and really likeable.

They've also gone longer than any other team in the AL w/o winning a WS, IIRC, and they had the best damn baseball movie ever made about them..

cmh6476 10-08-2007 10:22 PM

I'm hoping the Rockies go far, Jim Wright is their pitching coordinator (from st. joe)

his daughter is gettin married saturday, and I see the Rockies don't play. Hopefully Jim gets to come back in town...

I'd root for any AL Central team to win except the Twins, whom I passionately hate (fuck them and their dome). Go Cleveland.

If any structure in Minneapolis should have collapsed, it would have been nice had it been that one. (empty, of course...or at least populated by Kirby Puckett's corpse and Kent Hrbek)

I met Hafner when he was in JUCO here in KS. When I first met him, he looked like dumb like an ox, but he actually surprised me on how knowledgeable he is, especially in the game of baseball.

I knew he was a good baseball player when he started for the Indians, it's just that he has a little trouble trying to stay healthy.

ClevelandBronco 10-08-2007 10:36 PM

Give me this one: Rockies vs. Indians.

I'd be cheering the top and bottom of every inning.

Yeah, he really fucked my fantasy team this year. Figured he'd build on his season of last year...:banghead:

My first three picks were Hafner, Manny, and Aramis....18th, 19th, and 20th: Tulowitzki, Youkilis, Aaron Rowand.

Haha, the Arizona crowd is restless, who knew. Clint Hurdle just had to pull the Rockies off the field because the Arizona crowd was throwing things at them after a questionable interference call. Wasn't even that big of a deal, but the crowd lost their mind.

tk13 10-11-2007 09:51 PM

Haha, way to end the game. Arizona player hits a double, overslides at 2nd, and is tagged out. Rockies lead the series 1-0. They are dangerous right now, if they can beat Webb, Arizona's in trouble.

Let's all get defensive now. I was trying to be impartial. But I don't think it was a bad call. But it's one of those... if they didn't call interference, I wouldn't have complained about it either.

Yeah but the dodgers have been around before the Padres, well before...

I expect the Devil Rays, Mariners, and Nationals to win it before the Padres as well...

The Blue Jays have also won a couple and came into existence after the Padres...and they're not even in this Country!!!

As long as Frank McCourt owns the Dodgers, they won't ever win anything.

True Story: My wife and I are at 3rd St. in Santa Monica just hanging out walking around, whatever. We see Frank and his whore wife strolling around too (ok, I see see them my wife could care less). Anyways I kinda got next to him and say Hi and mention I'm a big Dodger fan and I hope we can win the World Series very soon.
THIS IS WHAT HE SAYS VERBATIM "I DON'T REALLY CARE, AS LONG AS YOU KEEP COMING TO THE GAMES".

Then he walks away like nothing happened.

I stood there in shock and almost crapped my pants. This ****ing douchbag needs to be run out of town quicker than Ross Porter he DOESNT GIVE A **** ABOUT THE DODGERS. ALL HE CARES ABOUT IS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I haven't really payed that much attention to him before, but after watching these playoffs... I don't think Jhonny Peralta is a very good SS at all. I know he's in there for his bat.. but he seems to have no range, no arm, anything.

Tulo with a single.

Amazing the leadership he shows for such a young kid. The whole team talks about his leadership on the field and in the clubhouse.

What a game

tk13 10-13-2007 12:30 AM

Rockies have the bases loaded on Valverde in the 11th, 2 outs. Valverde's already thrown more pitches than any other outing this season.

SPchief 10-13-2007 12:32 AM

41 pitches for valverde

tk13 10-13-2007 12:32 AM

And a 4 pitch walk. Rockies take a 3-2 lead.

Rockies win. Up 2-0 in the series, going back home. They've now won 19 of their last 20 games, which is insane.

kcxiv 10-13-2007 02:05 AM

Rockies and the Sox in the series it looks like. I just dont see either of them teams losing this round.

It should be a good series. I will go for the Rockies since i played little league with one of their pitchers. He actually pitched in todays game
