That's a TD

Bob Dole 10-06-2007 09:03 PM

That's a ****ing touchdown! Wow!

PastorMikH 10-06-2007 09:03 PM

That's a TD!

Frazod 10-06-2007 09:04 PM

That's a touchdown, ladies.

Coach 10-06-2007 09:04 PM

I think that's a touchdown, since his heel didn't come down.

Misplaced_Chiefs_Fan 10-06-2007 09:04 PM

That should be a TD

siberian khatru 10-06-2007 09:04 PM

BULL and SHIT

Coach 10-06-2007 09:04 PM

Wow. Terrible call.

the Talking Can 10-06-2007 09:05 PM

sweet play by MU

but his heel did touch the line, that was clear....those announcers are morons

Frazod 10-06-2007 09:05 PM

Oh well. It was close enough that I won't bitch.... too much.

Coach 10-06-2007 09:05 PM

If I was Pinkel, I'd throw in the challenge flag, just for the hell of it.

Bob Dole 10-06-2007 09:05 PM

Ok. NOW Bob Dole is going to bitch about the refs.

Dartgod 10-06-2007 09:05 PM

That's the right call. He held his heel up for short time, but then is came down out of bounds.

PastorMikH 10-06-2007 09:05 PM

How can the ref say he was out of bounds when there was green between his heal and the white sideline until he was pushed out?

Ubelievable awareness by Coffman, either way. Hell of a play.

My wife is on the other couch yammering on about the same thing. :D

After it didn't. No different than dragging a toe.

No, his toes were on the green grass, while his heel was nowhere touching the white chalk when he had possession of the ball.

That should had been six.

eazyb81 10-06-2007 09:07 PM

Refs gave Nebraska 7 points right there.

Yes and you can't dispute that his heel did come down OB.

Yep.

But I'm not from Kansas, so I'm not going to whine about it all night. :)

siberian khatru 10-06-2007 09:08 PM

Fug, it let's just fake the FG and score a TD

Excellent point.

tk13 10-06-2007 09:08 PM

That is an interesting question, I don't know the answer to that call. He wasn't really dragging his foot, but his toe was inbounds. If your foot remains stationary, does the entire thing have to come down inbounds? I have no idea.

I'll only bitch about it if we happen to lose. LMAO

Well I certain enjoyed that announcer-less segment there. WTF was that?

Actually you can... the pass was complete, the replay official was just a moron. It was clear that he came down in bounds with complete control.

Frazod 10-06-2007 09:09 PM

Well, I'll take that two touchdown lead, but we really need to stop settling.

I like that we lost the audio feed from the booth, too. :thumb:

siberian khatru 10-06-2007 09:09 PM

MU will get a nice letter of apology from the Big 12 office next week. Like it always does.

Shouldn't be a difference if say, a player on the sideline, caught the ball on one foot while the other one is in the air on the out of bounds side, but is not touching the ground.

As it was pointed out, it's no difference than dragging your foot.

That's the norm for them year in and out.

kcpasco 10-06-2007 09:10 PM

Why have ****ing replay if they can't even use it ****ing right?

Bugeater 10-06-2007 09:10 PM

Lou Holtz just informed us that the heel is part of the foot. Thanks Lou. :thumb:

siberian khatru 10-06-2007 09:10 PM

Somebody please remove Lou Holtz from the IV.

Brock 10-06-2007 09:10 PM

"there isn't any rule that the entire foot has to come down in bounds, right/?"

Jeezus, morons.

Coach 10-06-2007 09:11 PM

Clearly, Lou has lost it.

Sure-Oz 10-06-2007 09:11 PM

What a load of bs on that replay

siberian khatru 10-06-2007 09:11 PM

Well, if the D keeps playing like it has in the 1st half, everything should be OK.

But if they play like they have in the 2nd half of every other game this year ...

Sure-Oz 10-06-2007 09:12 PM

That was one of the best college catches ive ever seen, it's too bad the refs ****ed up bad

Sam Hall 10-06-2007 09:12 PM

It's critical that NU comes out in the second half and scores a touchdown.

Is this Coffman kid related to Paul Coffman?

kcpasco 10-06-2007 09:16 PM

They should just get rid of replay, the refs obviously can't use it anyway.

Rough times in Nebraska, indeed.

I hope it comes from a completion to one of our DBs.

:)

Neb fans, relax. Pinkel is coaching for us. He can blow a 3 TD lead in the 4th better than anyone - and we aren't up by 4 TDs yet.

If it's close going into the 4th, I'll be worried.

Lou Holtz is wearing a suit from 1992.

the Talking Can 10-06-2007 09:16 PM

"dragging a toe" is legal because the toe is the only part of the foot to ever touch the ground inbounds....the toe touches, it is inbounds, then it is out of bounds, and THEN the rest of the foot comes down...

but if the rest of the foot comes down out of bounds while your toe is still inbounds, then you are "out of bounds" and no catch...

if the player had only touched with his toe then it would have been a TD....is what i think

It was obviously a TD. The problem is the refs looking at it are all old guys whoe can barely operate their cell phones.

Bearcat2005 10-06-2007 09:20 PM

Such Bullshit...Lou Holtz needs to go ahead and die!

ChiefaRoo 10-06-2007 09:21 PM

How would you guys like to hear Lou Holtz and Shannon Sharpe doing all the halftime highlights?

Personally, I'd claw my eardrums out.

It was pretty sweet. Sideline, both feet down... stretched way the hell out to his left for the grab.

Good stuff.

Like I keep telling my Husker buddy.. you're not out of it yet. (We've got $20 on it..lol)

This game's been fun so far. :)

Bugeater 10-06-2007 09:32 PM

After reviewing the thread, apparently there wasn't any discussion about the

Nebraska

sign in the stands. Nice work Mizzou fans!

Sam Hall 10-06-2007 09:32 PM

Cameron Coffman is the last of the Coffman boys and is supposedly the best of the three. He's a 6-foot freshmen quarterback at Ray-Pec.

Coach 10-06-2007 09:33 PM

Looks like Notre Lame will finally win a game. They're leading UCLA 20-6, with 3 mins to go in the 4th.

Did you miss the part where I said Callahan is 0-fer when trailing at halftime? Pop the champagne, this one's over.

Coach 10-06-2007 09:34 PM

Great start by Nebraska. Committed a false start penalty and after that, a loss of 2.

Mizzou should forces Nebraska to go 3 and out.

Bob Dole 10-06-2007 09:35 PM

siberian khatru 10-06-2007 09:35 PM
