I got the impression that Herm will probably be gone.
|
Thum gone?
Is that what that meant? |
What was the question asked when Clark answered "that's confidential?"

It is kind of surprising that Thum hasn't been given the go ahead on the Financial side of the business

I'm guessing by Friday. He already knows who his head coach is and he'll want to start putting together a coaching team. |
JIZZ IN MY PANTS

It'd be cool if he would enter in full Native American garb, holding two scalps that are purported to be from Carl and Herm. He could throw them into the press area and then say, "Any questions?"
|
It's just a matter of time before Pioli understands that CP runs the Chiefs. After all, if not for CP his ass would still be in New England. You better recognize.......Mr. Pioli!

"Would Herm Edwards, Gun, LJ, DMac, all position coaches, all trainers, **** it, everybody who was hired by Carl, please come to the GM's office immediately. Please bring the contents of your desks as well." Also, did it seem to anyone else that Pioli really likes Cassel, and should there be more speculation about an attempt to bring him here? And if he does, do we accept that Pioli knows more about Cassel, or do we continue to think that he sucks and that we judge talent better? |
|
I like the guy.
Here we go boys. Looking forward to it. |
I'm impressed. Its almost like overnight we went from a franchise that was never a destination for good players to want to play, to one of the best places to play in terms of ownership and class.
This is exactly what you have to have if you want to bring a championship to KC. |

i can not believe we have this guy...
we have a GM with a PLAN who has been an integral part of CHAMPIONSHIPS i ****ing love it and no one in this franchise is safe now...all the mediocrity is about to get killed dead... |
I'm going downstairs to break open a couple micro-brews. After being so down on this team for so long it's worth a Wednesday beer.
:BLVD: |
A new day! An END OF AN ERROR!!!
|
i can't emphasize enough how happy i am that we are finally gonna put priority on finding guys THAT FIT OUR SYSTEM.
one of the biggest fuggin train wreck things we did .... grabbing some guy who wouldn't excel at what we were gonna ask them to do. sign/draft a zone guy for a man-to-man scheme ... sign/draft a mauling offense lineman for a pulling/space blocking scheme :banghead: |
i agree with pioli's thoughts on the combine I usually don't buy into it its fun to see who is in the draft I watched what Flaco did last year and judged him by the combine and I was wrong. Normally I don't do that in a qb who cares if he can bench or throw far how does the guy play the game and lead? I like pioli I just hope he fires herm and gets a good HC here.
|
I think the comment that both Pioli and Hunt are the same type of men is entirely accurate.

I take it as a personal afront that Clark Hunt hasn't fired Herm already. To leave the fanbase hanging like this is more than is deserved. The fact that Clark ever gave Herm a vote of confidence lessens my opinion of him as an owner, and a human being. We can read whatever we want into the situation after todays presser, but the fact that it hasn't been resloved already is a slap in the face of the average fan.
|
This deserves a cold one. Cheers everyone!

same with Herm...what is most important is what Pioli didn't say, he didn't praise anyone but Clark.... i think the truth is that he sees right through this franchise...he isn't impressed by anything left by Carl and he's going to fugging wreck it.... i hope he puts on his championship rings and proceeds to pimp slap his way through the organizational chart of this crap stain franchise... |
So how long before we are competitive again next year, two years, three years?

Herm is a loud mouthed braggard
Pioli is a humble, respectful professional oil and water don't mix |
Does anyone think he's saying what he's saying about Herm because you're suppose to interview a black candidate to be HC?
|
Does anyone who calls into the 810 radio show....know how to ****ing speak?
|
kietzman love him or not had a great point the patriot way is not talking herm talks thats not the patriot way. Also herm was not in the room today.
|
Didn't see the presser, but read through the details here, and saw a quick snippet on ESPN. As for Herm, another thing to remember is that Clark has obviously expressed his desire to retain Herm. Given that, I imagine that Clark would at least agree to meet with Herm and talk about things, if nothing else than to appease Clark. Plus, it wouldn't do Pioli any good to just immediately axe the owner's choice for HC - there is some professional courtesy involved here.
At this point, I wouldn't read too much into his comments about Herm... |
810 is reporting that Herm wasn't at the press conference today and was at home.

Didn't Clark state that final decision on HC would be his? I can't hear the pressed, but would assume this is why he is not saying much.

Based on what I've read about Pioli though, I agree with Laz... Pioli is humble, doesn't care about titles, etc; while Herm is pretty damn arrogant for a guy who's won two football games since 10/22/07. After 'careful consideration' and 'talking with many people' and 'losing sleep over the decision', Pioli needs to throw Herm under the bus and never look back. |

No way the HC doesn't show up to the introduction of the new GM if he thinks he's still employed by the organization. I think he has already been notified and the Chiefs are just working on the timing. I wish Herm nothing but the best, he seems like a genuinely decent guy, but good lord is he stupid. Just be gone and live out the rest of your years being an exceptional DB coach while mumbling in incoherent bliss like Corky from "Life Goes On". |
