No one here thinks Pendergast was even a remotely decent hire. You are just an illiterate dickbag who loves to generalize. |

That being said... the interesting thing about Pendergast is, he fielded an awesome defense a few years ago when Arizona was in a 4-3. I think he takes a lot of unnecessary heat for coaching a transition defense and arguably a defense he wasn't that comfortable with. |

On an aside, regardless of piss-poor line play, Larry is done. |

Now should they have focused on OL above DL this year? One could make a damn good argument for it, but they chose the path they chose. If, 3 years from now, the OL's been fixed, Cassel is still in one piece and playing well, and Jackson and Magee are important pieces of a solid 3-4 line, nearly everything in this thread will be moot and forgotten. On the other hand, if the OL's still in tatters, Cassel's been broken in half, and our DL picks are more like Ryan Sims, Junior Siavii, and Eric Downing then Haley most likely will be gone, and Pioli will have shown to be a major fraud. They've made their bed for the year, we all know it's going to be a multi-year process... might as well sit back, enjoy the ride, and be glad we're not the detroit lio...crap, never mind on that last one... |
Also The Internet Tough Guy thoguht Crennel would be the defensive line coach and Pendergast the D-cordinator. Talk about being teh stupid.
|
I'm not sure it matters who is running this defense... it's really devoid of talent outside of Flowers and possibly T. Jackson and Dorsey... you can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit...

The Chiefs were the only team to hire the GM first. Make that 4 openings. the Lions just promoted from within. |

The thing about the Cardinals not having much more talent than KC on defense was used numerous times I recall those posts.

The folks that couldn't get their minds wraped around the fact that the 2009 season is really an extended 2010 preseason are going to have a cornary before the end of the year.
I predicted all of this after our draft and I have peace of mind right now. Accept it don't fight it. Without an oline this team can't do anything. Hopefully we can have a decent one next season. No amount of good coaching can overcome this weakness. It can only be fixed during the offseason. We just have to wait until next year. Posted via Mobile Device |

I am afraid that Haley might have lost the team today.
My hope is that he's not able to find it again. (I haven't read the entire thread so sorry if this is a repost. :harumph:) |

People can't have an agenda without flat-out lying in the process? Must suck to live life with trust issues. |

If what is reported is any different than what actually happened, then they are ****ing lying. You'd rather bury your head in the sand and think that Petro, Whitlock, et al are lying, skewing, whatever you want to call it - rather than use your brain and realize that if they were doing what you claimed, they'd be fired as journalists. You're claiming neither of them have any journalistic integrity. I'm calling BS - neither are going to risk their job and reputation over the things that you're disputing. |

You are one stupid mother****er. Who would KNOW if what they are saying is true or not? WHO? oh and i never said that they HAD to be lying to have an agenda. read that post again. i said an agenda will make someone skew a story to make it sound different. happens all the time. you leave out some words, move some around and you have all the basics of the story but it sounds totally different than what ACTUALLY happened. If YOU dont think it happens in journalism then you sir are VERY naive, but i wouldnt doubt that you have lived a life in a glass box just gazing out on the perfect world around you |

As for the talent, there were people here trying to suggest that Arizona's defense was loaded with top-tier talent and the only thing holding them back was Clancy. |

and i will stand by my statement. it's not lying if you just change around the words to make it seem like what you want it to say. Sorry if you and your little brain cant figure that out. happens all the time in news articles. and in an OPINION, again OPINION piece there isnt the same level of scrutiny on what you are writing. Hell he writes about fictional stuff all the time. |
