This place is going to explode when the Chiefs draft OL at #8, and Cassel is trotted out there on opening day.

There is no way this team cannot draft a QB.
Season ticket sales are way down. Gotta get the fanbase excited. |

Did you see the NFL.com video? The majority of it is with Haley screaming at players, or showing a scowl. |
Someone should have had the stones to ask Pioli why Palko is on the roster.
or Barry Richardson. or Anthony frigging Becht. |

Blah, blah, blah. Every reporter claims they know what Pioli is going to do, and none of them are ever correct. How many of these guys who are now suddenly hearing X, Y, Z broke the story about Haley being fired before it was announced by the team?
IMO, last weeks "leak" to the press was in anticipation of this happening and finding out who had loose lips. |
Expect that Matt Cassel will be the only viable QB in the roster next year.
Expect that Scott Pioli will continue to do business the way he's always done it. And expect Clark Hunt to allow it all to happen. Man the lifeboats. Mike Silver in 20 minutes. |

Cassel is the problem. What you cassel fans are forgetting is he wasn't very effective in the games he played either. Fine I'll throw you a bone bring him back but can we get a real QB if he fails once again?
|
The one consensus is that Pioli will not move on from Cassel.
Crennel as HC and McD as OC? |

Do Cassel fans still exist? |
I'm 100% fine with all the talk being about staying loyal to Cassel. Less chance other teams think KC will make a move for a QB in April.
|
We are so ****ed until the team is sold.

So does Stanzi get to play now? Maybe he looks good enough that we have a QB controversy heading into next season. There's always hope.
|
Romeo was a disaster in Cleveland...but does that really tell us anything? Cleveland in general is a disaster.
|
FFS.....start Stanzi against the Packers.
|
It will be interesxting to see how the team responds to Romeo and the Haley firing.

LMAO He can shit himself like he has been for the last three years. |
Mike Silver: Says a lot more about the GM than it does about Haley.

Silver confirming what Robinson said: Weis didn't believe in Cassel.

I'm getting the sense that we are ****ed as a franchise. Unless Pioli goes qb in the first round, I'd fire him on the spot. |

There is nothing exciting about Romeo as a HC... More of the same shit... |
Does anyone for a second really think Haley's attire, beard, or hiphop fandom had anything to do with his fate.
Seems like so much snarky bullshit |
I don't see an exciting candidate out there. I'm afraid the wrong guy is gone.
|
Another implication from Silver that Pioli was rooting for Haley's failure, that he was spreading negative info to national media.
|
Doug Gottlieb on ESPN Radio - Haley being rumored for the Arizona St job and almost quit on his own last week.
I am telling you he was trying to get shit canned. |

Somewhere in there you could tell that Haley didn't give a **** about this team anymore.
|
Silver: Crennel will be a legitimate candidate. Pioli wants someone that will be in lockstep from the get-go.
Talk about Fisher and Cowher makes him laugh. |
Quote:
I seriously doubt it though. What negative news? Everyone knew Haley is a temperamental douche. |
Quote:
|
Silver: Pioli insecure, paranoid and never wrong. Laughable that Fisher or Cowher would want to work with that.

Weis not believing in Cassel confirms my thoughts last year while watching the games when it was obvious that Cassel was being babied by the play calling. Haley's thought process may have been that we have to see what we have in him otherwise he himself would be let go.
Given all the turmoil the team has went through this season I'm more mad at Pioli than Haley. There was never any reason to give that huge contract that early to Cassel. They could have done more to strengthen the offensive line also. signing Lilja was a mistake, letting Brian waters go was a mistake. The cupboards are bare besides some of the guys that were left behind from Herm era. Not to mention all the injuries. I would have liked to see Haley call the offense permanently and develop a QB. |
Silver: No idea why Clark Hunt isn't more aggressive in acquiring talent. Must assume he likes sitting on tens of millions of dollars after stadium renovations.
|
I like Haley, I have from day 1, more than any coach we've had in the last 35+ years.
We're stuck with pioli and his puppet whomever that will be. Personally I can't take much more of this. |

Not likely but possible. |
LMAO
Wright ripping Kornacki for her "OH, WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?" question. |
If the impression that we're given about Pioli is true then I really hope Clark steps in and relinquishes some control, but Clark didn't hire the guy less than 3 years ago to have to jump in and do that.
|
Basically, every single decision Pioli made in 2009 has been an complete and utter failure.
|
I honestly don't know how much longer I can subject myself to this. It's pretty obvious that the REAL problem isn't Todd Haley...

Are you implying that the "Executive of the Decade" is to blame? |
And the one 2009 decision we all thought was the worst at the time has turned out to probably be the best.
When Tyson Jackson is the best decision of the offseason. ......Well you get the point. |
I remember the T-Jax pick. My brother called it about 30 seconds before they announced it. I laughed and was like "who the F is Tyson Jackson"...
I literally sat there like "what just happened". Sort of like i did when we drafted LJ. |

Either way, I'm going to be patient with Pioli and allow him enough rope to hang himself. His next moves are critical. |

Now, go win one for Clark! FAX |
Babb: Haley was tired of the politics. Sick of people leaking things behind his back.
|
Good lord some tard just called into 810 and said they should hire Brian Billick and have Jeff Fisher be his assistant head coach.

So this is like the third guy today that has implied that Scott Pioli was going out of his way to sabotage Haley, frustrate him and make him miserable.
