It's a shame that guys like Hamas, Dane, Gaz, shit even Mecca don't post here right now.

I'd love to hear their angles on this.

$9.05 million according to that chart that shows the Chiefs at over $60 million

Manning has to realize that KC is a contender and Miami is terrible.

Signed,
MIA 31, KC 3

They're still basking in the SB wins that we had under Montana, when Scott Peterson made that bold move.

I think the chances are very slim that we sign him. Pooling will think that is too much money. I hope I am wrong but just got sinking feeling we won't.

yes, but remember this: no one has #18 in KC, but someone already has #18 in Miami.

Take whatever cap advantage we have, and add a few hundred dollars to it in money Peyton doesn't have to pay to buy his number!

Brock 03-06-2012 07:52 PM

The Dolphins are very confident they have a good chance to get an opportunity to see if there's interest to have discussions about the possibility of signing Manning.

The Bad Guy 03-06-2012 07:52 PM

There's not a whole lot of teams that do make sense to be honest.

Miami - no. I don't see this as a realistic spot. I think this is Matt Flynn's spot.

Arizona - They might have the edge with a dome and some good WRs

Jets - I don't think he wants to share the spotlight with his brother

Redskins - This is the worst fit out of all. How would he work with Shanahan?

Chiefs - Doubt it happens, but out of all these teams, they have the most offensive weapons to work with.

It sucks that I just don't see this happening as much as I want it to.

Chief Roundup 03-06-2012 07:53 PM

Neither ESPN or the NFL Network talk about the Chiefs being interested in or a good landing place for Peyton.

The Dolphins lol yeah just like they were going to get Harbaugh and then Fisher. Harbaugh actually took less money to go to San Fransico. If Manning goes to Miami he won't be the man as long as LeBron and Dwade are there. Come to Kansas City he could be the ****ing mayor.

The football fan of a small market team who signed Brett Favre is telling us that it's absolutely ludicrous that Manning will play for Kansas City.

Think about that one for a second.

I did not say it was absoutely ludicrous, I said I would be suprised if Peyton signs with the Chiefs, it is more likely Peyton will sign with the Dolphins but if Peyton sign with the Chiefs, then props to the Chiefs for signing him, I will believe when I see it

The closes thing we have to any real information is when Crennel tampered and today when Miami tampered. Other than that we don't even know if anyone else is interested.

I don't think it makes it easier at all. The price isn't going to come down significantly.

There will still be suitors for the 2nd pick regardless if Washington is in the mix.

WTF?

Kurt has become a part of the media. The media wants him to go to a sexy team. And I know the Dolphins aren't a good team and nowhere near a Super Bowl run, even with Manning, but Miami is a sexy town like NY. The Cards just made a Super Bowl run in 08 and have the media darling in Fitzgerald. DC is on the east coast with the Rat, etc yada yada. It's all about flashing lights. Hopefully not the same with Peyton.

BossChief 03-06-2012 08:25 PM

For me, it would be like a dream if we have Manning and Stanzi next year.

If we sign him and somehow get Trent Richardson, I may die of a massive heart attack boner within minutes afterwards.

Say he comes to KC. How many actual cold games is he gonna play? It doesn't get really cold here until December. If he makes the playoffs here or anywhere, unless it's homefield thru out, he's gonna have to play outside.

It's not just the rain. It's late august, early september. It is the downpours and wind.

The dude has spent most of his career in a controlled environment. Now to play MOST of his games outside of a dome will be something he hasn't done in 14 years.
