Ok, thanks for the update. I tuned in around the middle of the first round. The first shot I saw of Geno was him sitting at the table alone looking down (looked like he was looking at a phone). Then I saw him get up and walk away with two picks left. I didn't think much of it but my friends were talking in the background so I couldn't hear what was being said.

I'd be ****ing pissed if that shit happened to me so I'm not going to judge.

if u been around long enough i'm one of the original ball busters into not drafting a qb...but i'll take a solid left tackle over a qb that winds up in the arena league.

got it?

Geno will be in Canada. Now isn't it time to call me racist?

Precisely. And if he weren't upset the same people bitching about him "whining" would still have something to say. See...he doesn't have any emotions!

Showing his true lack of maturity I see;) That will get around to every NFL team tonight for sure and he just dropped a few more rounds with that "taking my ball and going home" routine:harumph: That's drama BS that teams can do without and especially at the most important position and leadership position of the team.

Good luck waiting another 30 years for Andrew Luck to fall into your laps, douches.

The only way to get a real QB in this league is to go ****ing get one yourself, warts and all.

Geno wasn't terrible at all. In fact, he would have been in a perfect position.

I hope the people who find this hilarious are equally as cheerful next year at this time when all the good QBs are gone before the Chiefs pick and we're forced to YET AGAIN pass on QB talent just because there's no "sure thing."

You'll keep saying the Chiefs did the right thing. Meanwhile, Alex Smith will be yucking it up and you'll continue to bitch about the Chiefs being "unlucky."

There's no such thing as luck in the NFL. The Ravens needed a QB in 2008. So did the Falcons. They "reached" on their guys and got what they needed.

We're going to roll with Alex Smith. Think about that.

BUT AT LEAST OUR LT WILL BE REALLY GOOD, RITE?

But but but...we'll have 8 or 9 wins and all will be good drafting from the middle. All will be right in KC land...just like old times.

I thought for sure the Vikings would take him at 29. Three 1st rounders and they didn't bother with him.

Also, this was literally the most boring draft ever.

Logan Thomas
Teddy Bridgewater
Aaron Murray

QBs fall all the time. He's absolutely a first round QB.

You're missing the fact that waiting around for JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT hasn't worked in 30 years, and it's time to go outside your comfort zone and pick a ****ing QB.

EJ Manuel isn't a 1st round QB. Look at the Bills. THEY'RE NOT AFRAID.

You're not. You're just fine with failure. Hell, you're more than fine with it. You're having a great ****ing time! Geno Smith fell? HAHAHAHA that's so funny! Glad we didn't pick him!

For ever QB you take solace in that you didn't pick, you miss the ones that actually do turn out that you had a shot at. And guess who always comes out on top in the end.

SNR is right.

When was the measure of a qb where he is drafted? Shouldn't it be how he plays on the field?

Aaron Rodgers supporters in 2005 would of been blasted by everyone else because Alex Smith was picked first and Rodgers almost went into the second round. Ultimately, who was the better player?

That being said I can't wait for our 18-25 165 yard 1 td qb to show what he can really do!

It wouldn't have mattered what spot we were in this year, we could have had a 6-8 win year and if we had wanted him we could have had him. I agree that we should pull the trigger on qb prospects every now and then, but this year is a little more shaky in the first round. Taking a quarterback 1st overall just to roll the dice on a less than stellar class seems ****tarded, and the rest of the league thought so as well.

Flacco was picked around 18 with a trade, becuase apparently they liked him much more than Brohm and Henne. That hardly required such an early pick and drastic measures. Stop being such a weeping gash and see what happens. Wilson will be there in the third, and worst case scenario Reid takes a better prospect in a more talented class if the Smith experiment doesn't work out.

the only RESULTS that matter, are wins. Alex Smith has a winning career record. So, no, that wouldnt make alex smith an instant failure.

And besides, if all you pussy ass cry babies, will relax, im sure the chiefs will make a move in the second round, or maybe the third to get a qb. But you go ahead and put some soothe eaze on that swollen vagina.....

You guys want to draft a QB because it's a QB. OMG guys it's a QB we gotta draft him!

You're looking at one side of the coin. The other side if filled with average QB's being picked in the first round who never amount to anything.

Wanna take a guess which side every NFL GM thinks Geno is on?

Wilson eats dookie. He's shit.

And WORST case scenario is Alex Smith doesn't work out, we get placed in a 2012 QB draft class just barely out of reach of the 3 best QBs, and take a defensive linemen because we were just "unlucky"

You brought up the Ravens. The Ravens reached on Flacco. Hard. It worked out for them. They were in a difficult position and didn't care about shit. They needed a QB. They found a guy who could possibly do the job, and they pulled the goddamn trigger.

We haven't pulled the trigger in 30 years. Make that 31.

This qb class is just, BAD. Really bad.....No guarantees, just a bunch of possible starters, but no stars.

I was hoping that a team like New Orleans, would draft him, and then he could sit and learn. Hes just not ready to play, and hes going to have to learn. Hopefully, that team isnt jax. That could be horrendous.

If we get Geno or Barkley in this draft, I'll calm down and go back to homer SNR.

You haven't seen homer SNR, but he exists. In the hearts of children.

What's the worst that could happen if we drafted a 1st round QB? He'll be average and won't amount to anything?

OH ****ING NO

well, yea, that is the thing that coaches, and gm's have to work out. If you draft a qb first round, and he busts, and busts hard, it costs you your job, just like it did to mike mularkey in jax, just like it did to mike nolan. Yes, missing on a qb they have said sets your franchise back 4 YEARS

JP Losman, Trent Edwards and Levi Brown. A late 1st rounder, a 3rd and a 7th rounder.

Throw out Losman and consider their FA QB pickups and the Bills are clones of the Chiefs..

It'll be Dysert or something like that in the 5th.. Might as well keep Stanzi in that case.

As fans can't we just get excited about a qb prospect? Instead we get 175 ypg Alex Smith.

He'll suck and we're back to rebuilding.

I'd rather use the pick on a QB who is worth a 1st round pick. That guy isn't in this draft, so build the team up and wait until next year to get him or the year after.

Don't draft a QB in the first round just to do it. If you're gonna do it, make sure it's someone you believe in.

didnt think he'd fall this far .. guess I was right bout him ....

draft isnt over, and the guy you wanted hasnt been drafted. I will not tolerate this tom foolery until that is the case.

I am not going to say ANYTHING about Alex Smith.....You guys are far too bitter tonight for me to stir that pot. Maybe tomorrow.....

Not saying your wrong, but look back at all the quality QB's we have missed out on wasting picks and FA money on retreads instead of drafting one in the first 3 rounds for cripes sakes. I'm not sure what you're looking at, but mediocrity is hardly a great way of existence and that is the KC way it seems. Just get us 8 or 9 wins....yea!

Logically, i could see you guys sending 63, and maybe a 5th to the niners and getting 34....

Niners already have more picks than roster spots, they're not trading their second highest pick for more lower round picks who they will not even be able to sign.

that was an attempt at hilarity. THink about the irony if it were the 34th pick they got back.

The ultimate irony would be if the Niners draft Geno Smith with the pick.

No. Rodgers has perhaps a slightly better arm, maybe a tad more nimble.

What's the main difference?

One of them can't dance.

God dammit, Geno. You got ****ed.
