****ing rain delay.

ChiefsCountry 10-08-2015 06:33 PM

We might be seeing Chris Young or Medlen tonight.

siberian khatru 10-08-2015 06:33 PM

Oh good, more Pete Rose

siberian khatru 10-08-2015 06:34 PM

@jazayerli: A really long rain delay would be a great thing for KC. The Royals have the deeper bullpen, and Ventura could come back for Game 4 easily.

siberian khatru 10-08-2015 06:34 PM

@KSeaboldt: Weird. They unrolled the tarp and Ken Harvey fell out…

Why Not? 10-08-2015 06:34 PM

Agree w Rany. Ventura does not have it tonight and Astros pen sucks. Let it rain

Looking at the radar, it looks like it should basically already have moved out by now. I bet they'll be back pretty quick.

My friend said he called the concussion protocol absurd and that Donaldson should have came back today. That's pretty ignorant.

I too think it could be an advantage, but it's kind of wasted value because McHugh already has a high pitch count.

Game ends late, and then we have to turn around and play a day game. Doesn't sound too good. How long is this delay expected to last ?

So if its delayed for more than a certain amount of time they'll pull Ace and just go to the bullpen?

When Pete got his bell rung, he'd just go into the clubhouse, pop a few bennies and go right back out.

Yeah, it was a "back in my day" thing... ironically, he doesn't understand the impact of his own previously ignored head trauma, because of his previously ignored head trauma..... and well, I take it he wasn't very bright to begin with.

Hootie 10-08-2015 06:44 PM

Dudes, either way. Two runs isn't anything. We need to just hold them at 3

Thanks. I was a huge baseball fan as a kid, but after so many years of Royals suck I started to hate the sport and stopped watching until a few years ago. Still re-learning.

I'd say anything 45+ minutes and it's likely variable based on the starter. But I guess I really don't know either.

There's the outside shot they could actually bring Ventura back in game 3 against Keuchel too. Not that I'd bank on it... but it could be on the table if need be.

Possible, but Ventura will need to keep his pitches down. Most of them were somewhat elevated, so....

Unless he gets to get it down, I'm not so sure.

I would be all for it, Volquez was wonderful for 3/4 of the season, but he has been dog shit the last 1/4.

Still don't understand why a guy who is 6'10" has such a low top velocity.

suzzer99 10-08-2015 07:17 PM

I have consulted Pete's chart and determined, based on innings 1-2, that the Royals will give up 0 runs this inning. Then -1 runs the next inning, then -2 etc. I like where this is trending.

ChiefsCountry 10-08-2015 07:18 PM
