I just....uhhh....they must not do ANYTHING outside.

No one is doing jack outside when it's 100 degrees with stupid humidity either, one is no better than the other.

The only reason I can make the argument that winter is slightly less annoying is because my bills aren't as high, heating the house is cheaper than cooling it.

I'll take the weak part of winter, early December over mid-August. I don't want to do anything outside when it's 98 with 90% humidity for weeks on end. But I'm over this shit, I just want spring.

I can do everything on my farm when it’s 100 out.

I can’t do anything when there’s 5’ drifts and -18 wind chill.

Ok well being outside when it's that hot is shit too is all I'm saying. I don't want to go do shit outside when I feel like 5 minutes of outside gives me crotch rot.

That’s why you drink a hundred beers to speed up the heat stroke.

Well when it's cold outside you drink a dozen whiskey drinks to keep the cabin fever under control.

ICE SUCKS. Would rather have 12 inches of snow.

One thing about the summer heat, you can go out early in morning then evening when ain’t so miserable. That ain’t happening in winter time.

Have you looked at paying on an average?our power company offers it, but I don’t know anything about it , I just know it’s an option.

I could but I'd probably get jacked...I knew before I moved here the utilities were a bit higher, vaulted ceiling, good sized house etc etc.

I talked to them before I moved in and they told me the 12 month average here was 320 dollars. With the summer being in the 500's and the winters being around 250.

I've been here a year. My winter electric bills come in more like 200-220. My summer ones where anywhere between 480 and 600, that 600 was last June when it was 100 like every god damn day.

I think overall the flat would cost me money.

Ok...I run my AC on 74...also my water bill is on that bill so I guess it was more like 480.

Like run now my water and electric together is 206.

Independence does water and electric on the same bill for some reason.

I do level pay on both my heating and cooling, they adjust it once a year I think and it may go up or down a few bucks but every month my utility bills are the same aside from water.

Be safe, one way or the other.

I feel a little guilty about not going in, but if I end up in the ditch at work I'm going to have to be explaining why I did what I did and what I could have done differently, to which my answer would have been "I should have just called in". Not worth it.

Your gas bill outrageous?

I mean, shit, my house is 60 years old and needs new windows in a bad way. It's not small, about 2500 sf to cool, and I've never had an electric bill close to 480, got up to 310 I believe this summer and that's insane. Water through NKC is never more than 50/month so it sounds like you're just ****ed all around.

Nah my gas is never super high its right around 100 all winter. Well like my last bill is 126 for electric...32 for water and then 47 for sewer.

Like I said, my house was built in 93. It has a vaulted living room ceiling with a loft room on the side over the bedrooms that alone makes it hotter in the summer.

Well people in Florida run in that 100 degree weather. They run from one air conditioned place/car to another.

Total opposite for me. I heat and cool exclusively with a heat pump. Can't get natural gas out in the country and I have no interest in buying propane in the middle of the winter for double the summer price. My heat pump is brand new and really efficient for AC. My bill barely goes up in the summer time. But in the winter, it spikes. That's because a heat pump uses heat strips when it gets below 32 degrees and they aren't efficient at all. My bill stays below $200 most of the year, but is often over $300 in the winter.
