Funny thing in this latest episode. Travis said that the Fonz was a Chiefs fan. Jason said that he was a Mahomes fan. If Mahomes was a Raider, then the Fonz would be a Raider fan. Travis said that he just pictured Mahomes in a Raiders jersey and it was ****ing disgusting. Lol. Loved that response.

"Those bagel bites had sauce on 'em, what's that made of? Tomato - boom, there's your vegetable." Even Travis was like "yeah, that's just salt, dad..." I don't think Ed's body is his temple. Seems like the Kelce boys are just a triumph of genetics because I can't imagine a bagel bites diet is the path to professional athletes. |

Its just not that unusual for people to switch to the most common pronunciation of their name. |
For those of you wishing to give Tribal Warfare a break from bumping this thread every week, you can simply subscribe to their Youtube channel, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
For Spotify, i don't even need to subscribe. It auto generates at the top of the list as soon as an episode is available. |

Eh, whatever. My name is Spanish, and our family settled on the American pronunciation generations ago. It's no big deal. |
I liked that Travis had the eagles cheerleader do the eagle chant and at the end travis says sucks.

Man, it’s so hard to believe kelce was suspended in college when you look at the maturity and leadership of this guy right now is off the charts and then some. I so often forget that because of how far he’s come. Shout out to Jason. I knew they were close but didn’t realize he was this instrumental to travis making it at all out of Uc. The story doesn’t even mention that travis was drafted by kc largely because Jason endorsed the hell out of him. Jason, I’m sorry for your loss on Sunday, but you a real one. |

New news!
(And a new episode) |
So I watched part of Anchorman and did not know that 92% of the time it works every time was based on Paul Rudd line when he said about his panther cologne that 60% of the time it works every time.
Jason Kelce announced today that he is playing in 2023 and not retiring. |

His comment on the NFL IG page post:

What makes that throw worse is that he used to be a QB in HS. He should have been able to get it there without hitting the ground.

That pitch looked worse than when Baba Booey threw out the first pitch at a Mets game!
That's just ****ing awful for an athlete of his talent. |

Yes, its' Thannon Tharpe but it's a great episode. I think I actually like Shannon Sharpe. |

I like Shannon Sharpe. Has always been realistic and countered Skip's heel act regarding Mahomes. Was fantastic to listen to in this episode. In fact, besides the Mahomes interview, probably the best episode just to hear his stories and to listen to the back and forth between generational players.
And yeah, that admission he makes, advice he would give his rookie self. Very honest. Poignant even. |
This week's podcast is amazing. I remember hating Shannon Sharpe. And now he's clearly a legit mentor for Travis Kelce. Jason is an incredible podcast host. Just edgy enough, keeps it fun. Awesome stuff.
|
Anybody else have no memory that Kelce was knocked out of the Titans playoff game with a concussion?
|
HO-LEE CRAP! Sharpe tells a story at the 37ish mark where he used to tell Greg Robinson when he was the D-coordinator that if he ever played against his defense he would set a record. Then he broke the record when G-Rob was in KC.
|
42 minute mark Sharpe tells a great story about Albert Lewis being pretty much the toughest he ever faced.

Edit: oh I bet you’re thinking of the wrong Titans playoff game. |

Also, Sharpe said "God rest his soul" but seriously, there should be a special circle of hell for incompetent morons. **** GRob. |

It was a real, authentic moment of honesty and regret. I mean, I've liked Shannon Sharp the last couple of years because he's been beating the Mahomes drum, but that one moment right there showed a humanity that I would never have associated with him. I like the guy. Oh, and I loved how he was basically telling Travis to get real in his life... |

https://www.pro-football-reference.c...0210200kan.htm 10/20/2002 -- Definitely a G-Rob era game. And of course the Career Day Defense was in full swing; Chiefs managed to blow a 34-20 4th quarter lead and lose it in overtime. I didn't remember him going back to Denver either. |

Loved the episode. He was just very open and authentic. The love and respect he had and still has for his brother is unbelievable. I also did not know that he gave his first SB ring to his brother and how important doing that was for him. Forgot how much of a beast Sterling was before an injury cut his career short. It was also good to see how the TE position and responsibilities changed from when he was drafted to now.

going to watch this in it's entirety because hearing sharpe interact one on one with kelce is gold
i think he sees a lot of elway and himself in mahomes and kelce..and is probably jealous LMAO <iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SIeDVXSkCKY" title="Shannon Sharpe on Mentoring Travis, Tight End Mt. So I went to the live podcast at the KC Music Hall. I didn't realize that it wasn't live on youtube as well. I'm sure it is coming soon. The guests are amazing, and the absolute best part: They intro the podcast like its the draft and announce "Please welcome NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell" and everyone thinks its a bit. Everyone boos and yells out a bunch of trash talk....and sure enough Roger Goodell walks out awkwardly and everyone's like "Oh shit it wasn't a joke". He was a good sport and had a few funny one liners during his intro.

Shannon got a little emotional there at the end. |

18 minutes! Wonder if this episode will surpass the Mahomes episode.

That episode could have been so much longer. Just feels like it was cut off. Great one though.

I wonder if having it before the draft made them pretty short on availability for Andy. But oh well - still a great one, just short. |
Do we know the “Catching Kelce” play?

Reid saying he eats at Whataburger to support Patrick because he doesn't make enough money. LMAO
Andy is so great at taking subtle shots at douchbags in sports media. |

The live show was not that great as a podcast because too much yelling from the stage.
How about be yourselves and have some plan and put on a good show so that the live audience will naturally cheer when entertained? That hype screaming stuff by Travis and Stonestreet was lame. |

Pretty impressive they got Goodell to play along, he was a surprisingly great addition.
