Indeed. |
Word here in the UK jungle is "if" Oscar goes pro, Zuby wants to play for UK.

Zuby to St. John’s
|
Funny how these bench fodder dudes end up at crap programs. There’s a lesson here
|
Didn't St Johns just hire Pitino

Oh, you mean they’ve been so awesome and consistent in the regular season that being #1 in tourney wins just isn’t enough? That’s a nice compliment. Thanks! |

Have we ****in signed Kaluma yet?
|
We just got Christian Braun's brother as a backup big. He's not good, but he played a ton of minutes for Santa Clara last year and he's a 5th year guy. Might be useable.

Just need another perimeter shooter and we’re good to go. |

Who are they playing? The PR national team, I assume.

Isn't PR part of the US? How is this foreign travel?

I see no news on this, other than the email I got to buy a travel package. No news on the kuathletics site, and nothing coming up on a google search.

I like the city of San Juan

Puerto Rico in August. Sounds wonderful!

I think Braun was a pretty good get for what they needed. Sounds like the plan is to find another big wing (McCullar returning might even be a possibility) and then eat the last scholarship.
|
So do we want Caleb love again or no?

I'm flying to Denver tonight, could go see Braun tomorrow night...

They were both terribly inefficient offensive players early on. Self made them D up, and he could get Caleb to do it too. I’d be all for it |

Imagine this roster with McCullar back. |

Starters:
Harris Timberlake McCullar Adams Dickinson Bench: Morris Elmarko Marcus Adams Braun Chris Johnson |
McCullar back officially.
We’re winning it all. |

D will be much better with KM back. |
Glad we got that figured out. It never made much sense for him to leave. The defense is now much improved and he adds a degree of competitiveness and intensity that is pretty unmatched.
KU is the clear #1 now and it isn't close. |
Cool! 😎
|
Mccullar is the best defender Ive ever seen at KU.

Withey is probably the best rim defender. Chalmers was the best perimeter defender. |
My only worry...do we have enough big guys?
|
Quote:
McCullar and Marcus Adams can play the small ball 4. That should be plenty. We could even go super small and play 4 real guards (Timberlake at the 4) like we did in 2018. |
We are so good at the basketball!
|
Any idea if KU has a good coach for all this talent?
|
Timberlake is going to get so many open 3s its going to be incredible. He won't even understand why he's so open compared to when he was at Towson.

He’s going to shoot over a lot of defenders closing out on him too. |

A lot of dumb KU takes on Twitter today. I’m seeing several posts about KU still needing this or that.
Even the 2015 UK team only played 7-8 guys by the end of the year. Right now, our 10 is: PG: Harris, Morris, Elmarko SG: Timberlake, Chris Johnson SF: McCullar, Marcus Adams PF: KJ Adams C: Dickson, Braun I’d assume, Johnson and Braun see very limited time by the end of the season. The rest is a damn loaded 8 man rotation. |

He's no 4, he'd be a backup 5 |
I’d be surprised if we added anyone else at this point. We’re probably done, unless we grab a developmental piece to take a chance on at the bottom of the roster.

I mean, you know Harris, McCullar, and Dickinson are playing 30+ a game every game in non-blowouts. Playing time starts running out pretty quickly from there.
|
Again I dont want KJ starting if McCullar is the 3. I would prefer McCullar to play a small 4 and then KJ backup Dickinson. We simply do not have enough shooting if its Harris, Timberlake, McCullar, KJ, and Dickinson

Braun would get the shit end of the stick I think |

And like I said before, by the end of the year teams only play a max of like 8 guys anyway. There’s only so many minutes to go around. If it happens with Nelson or Udeh, great. I’m completely satisfied with this rotation as is though. |
I think the feeling was that there’s a good chance they’d pocket the last scholarship. But this stuff is really fluid. If they can land one of Nelson, Kaluma, Pullin or Udeh, I think they do it. If not, they’ll probably run with what they have.

Love this. His playing time might be the hardest hit today, but he isn’t phased.
