Did anyone share this article yet?
https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/news/k...ck-per-insider Russini thinks the Chiefs will get more than previously hoped for Sneed from what she’s hearing. She implies a first round pick isn’t out of the question. I’m skeptical of that as I’ve said before. I’m expecting a second or a package of lower picks. Maybe some combination of moving up in the first and back somewhere else. I hope she’s right though. |

Hopefully they're quelling those concerns with a physical. |
Someone did post what Russini said. Oh well. The article is above if you’re interested.
|
If someone was gonna give a first....the Chiefs would jump at that.

I mean it really comes down to why would we help the dynasty? I don't blame them for it, it's probably in their best interest, AFC or NFC. Nobody should want to work with us to try to avoid NFL history being made.

Russini was talking the Athletic Football pod and in short terms said
1) She thinks Jones is staying 2) She expects the trade to definitely happen with Sneed but it's going to be in another week or so. Probably because the acquiring team has to negotiate the contract terms too. |
Eagles have two 2nd round picks 51 /53 I believe. Ill take those

Since we're just sittin' around, suckin' on our big fat chili dogs, let me ask you guys this:
Would you rather have an additional 2nd day draft pick (let's say a 2nd rounder), or move up 10-12 spots in the 1st round? |

Detroit should just shoot us over #29 and we'll call it good.

Dianna Russini is really good at her job. Shocked she said we could get a 1st for Sneed.
It sounds like the huge market for Sneed is working to our advantage and Veach is driving up the price through that bidding war |

Hell he may be wrong. But his theory backs up what I quoted in the other post |
When Robert Mays asked what the Chiefs could get for Sneed Dianna Russini said “for sure a 1st.” She also said the word at the combine was all on the Lions.
We might really get the 29th pick for Sneed LMAO |
If we walk away with 29....
That's the type of shit that makes me say if you put a gun to my head or up my ass, I'd probably bet on Mahomes to win 6+ SBs. The organization is dominating in every capacity. |

They’re cutting all the big names to get out of cap hell and we turn a 4th round pick into an elite corner then flip for a first AFTER winning another Super Bowl. |
Bills fans finally escaped the Patriots, only to be subjected to this.

I've tried to tell you guys Sneed is a 1st round talent. He's worth a 1st. He's the best damn CB in the NFL and any team trading for him won't have to worry about drafting a 1st round bust
|
Just based on the Draft Value chart, you could package 29 and 32.
Trade those to Seattle for 16 and 76. Any takers? Or maybe 29 and 64 to the Rams for 19 and 153. A LOT of possibilities with 2 first round picks. |

Do Beane and McDermott focus on youth and play it conservative to get their cap back on track, or do they pull a Telesco and go ALL in knowing they're getting fired if they don't make it to an AFCCG at minimum |
Quote:
If anything though you'd probably see a repeat of 2022 where they go up and get their first pick, and stay put at 32 |

Also to caution you guys, Dianna said she expects this will take some more time. Most likely after the first wave of FA. Probably not next week but the week after.
She did reaffirm the market is very strong for Sneed. Corner is incredibly weak this year |
Quote:
Also the year the Chiefs have a spare elite CB is a weak draft for CB. I can’t imagine being a fan of another AFC team right now. |
Quote:

I'd not trade up.
I don't think you can get up high enough for one of the elite prospects, but if one fell a bit you could. I like just taking a couple swings there. Or hell....maybe someone wants to trade up and you could end up with a 2nd and a future 1? |
Sounds like Eagles are the partner to me. Picks 22 (Rd1), 50 (Rd2), or 53 (Rd2) for compensation. Possibly Sneed and 32 for 22 and 53?

If you are the Lions and making a push to get to the SB, you aren't finding a better CB than Sneed at pick #29. Simple as that. He was arguably the best corner in the NFL last season so a late 1st for him is more than fair.

4 years for 76 mill. |
That takes the Bears out of the Sneedstakes, but probably puts more pressure on other interested teams to make a move.
|
Lots more smoke out there about maybe getting a first out of him because the number of interested teams. Sure hope the rumors are true.
Get us two players with cheap rookie 5 year deals. That’ll help the cap room. |

4 year 76 million. 19 per that's the market for Sneed

Shutdown corners in their prime aren't for sale often and this FA+draft class ain't that great. |

That whole trading a 1st plus an all pro deal isn't all that common. That's a team spending all their resources in one guy. |

Listened to Moving the Chains again today there were several Chiefs calls with regards to Sneed.
They say he is going to set the market for CB's. Around $22 per. And when all the callers say a 2nd and a 4th, he holds to his guns. Said even though he didn't get All-Pro, his play says he should have been. And his talent says he is worth two firsts. He also said if it is the Colts at 15 then obviously probably won't be two firsts, but if it is someone like the Lions at 29, then yes, two firsts. Or a first and a second at worst. All-Pro talent deserves All-Pro compensation. |

Quote:
Said you replace talent with talent. And Sneed is a talent. You don't get a 2nd and a 4th to replace talent. We'll see. |
Quote:
I’m still leaning towards a second or a package of lower picks. Obviously, I would love to be wrong about that. |
If you had to choose would you rather keep Sneed (and pay a vet WR) or keep Thuney?
|
Quote:
This is really a numbers game with Sneed. They clearly think the value he brings via trade is too good to pass up for the long term future with the depth we have at the position. I freaking hate it but it is what it is. They know what they are doing. |

So Tyreek Hill was not worth multiple firsts but Sneed is?
