Let the locker room Deshaun Watson stories roll
|
I’m taking a flyer on one of these backs.
Which cream rises to the top? Steele, Perine or Hunt? |
To the 'ship

The Donnell Bennett reunion dream goes out with not a bang, but a whimper..

Wow! I called that wrong. Didn’t think the FO/Ownership would do it. Welcome back prodigal son. Best of luck! |
I don't expect 2018 Hunt just like anyone else, but we're fooling ourselves if we think he isn't gonna see the lightest boxes he's had consistently since.... 2018.
And with a nice powerful line in front of him too. I'll wager he's closer to 4.0 than 3.0. |
Well, I guess, Maybe, he can at least retire as a Chief and get 1 ring...

Great signing, Very happy to have KH back yo |

yeah, to the practice squad. You have to give him some orientation to the changes in the playbook since he left
|
If he can bring even 70% of what he was in the Chiefs passing game…

1st & Goal at CIN 2 (4:14 - 1st) (Shotgun) I.Pacheco left guard to CIN 2 for no gain (S.Rankins; L.Wilson). 2nd & Goal at CIN 2 (3:40 - 1st) (Shotgun) I.Pacheco up the middle to CIN 2 for no gain (S.Hubbard, J.Tufele). |
Did we sign this piece of shit yet?

Because I think the Chiefs prefer him in the passing game, they prefer to pass and they'd prefer to not let personnel telegraph the plays. So Perine will be the naturally bet to get more of the plays between the 20s and if he has gas left in the tank (I think he does) he'll get the first crack at really getting a grip on the job. Hunt would represent the highest ceiling but I think Perine's versatility will give him the first crack and I think he'll be able to run with it. Thanks again, Denver! |
Brooke Pryor with derogatory X post in 3.2.1…

I doubt they lean on a rookie, they're probably just going to pass more. |

Certainly not upset about it. It's mainly just they want a guy that is familiar with the system. Ultimately I don't value RB very much so it barely matters who we sign as long as they know their assignments and block. Just would have preferred someone who has a CHANCE to be a bit more dynamic and catch footballs.

this is like a chiefs fans fan fiction come to life
pls make it happen |

She gone. Oh she has a job and stuff. Somewhere. But it's not like when she was here and there was simply no avoiding her. That narwhal can piss and moan all she wants. I won't hear a bit of it. Because to hear her, you have to actively be seeking out her opinion on things these days. And lord knows I ain't doing that. |

Evan Hull is going to be my next Mike Boone. I'm gonna spend years saying the Chiefs should pick him up, he's never gonna really get an opportunity anywhere and yet we'll look up someday and he's spent 10 years in the league. You just watch! (But seriously, why did Mike Boone never get a shot? Kid can play) |

GO GET HIM, BERT! |
Well, now I'm glad I didn't give away my K. Hunt jersey. I had it in the donate pile that I haven't taken to Goodwill yet.

I doubt if he'll get his old number back, especially after Conner's heroics on Sunday. |

I remain skeptical.
His YPC declined steadily through the years. Though, he did score 9 TDs in 2023. |

But who knows? I certainly wouldn't have an issue with it. |

But bringing back Kareem is a meme and memes are fun. |

Just never seemed to get tackled by the first guy and rarely any negative plays .

I don't think washed is the proper word, I think he still has a use, he just doesn't have the type of explosion he once had. He was a top 5 RB at 1 point, he isn't that anymore.

CEH can come back W5, and that leaves him as the guy they probably trust the most. But a.) will he come back and b.) does someone just flat out take the job in the next two weeks? Based on what I saw in Denver last year, you'd have to think it's Perine but they've barely used him, to Mecca's point. |
Quote:
That being the case, if they had any belief at all that MEH is coming back, they'd make due in week 4 and have him back for week 5. He's done. |
LOVE IT. Welcome home Kareem!

I think his usage and the team around him dictate some of the drop in efficiency the past couple of years. If he's still got some burst, he'll get off the practice squad while we wait for Pacheco. If he doesn't, oh well. He's done. But I can see some reason to believe he might NOT be washed. |

Here is his highlights from last year against the 49ers. Looks good to me.

He probably at Q39 RIGHT NOW
Feasting welcome back Kareem |
I LOVED this guy’s game back in the day!
I really, really hope he is not a brokedick. |
Hope he runs like a man given a chance of a lifetime

He hasn't lost much. People gonna be big mad when he catches a 2-yard pass in the flat and turns it into a 20-yard gain. |

I'm a fan of this, its a savvy signing
He'll be good for pass pro, outlet passes, and picking up tough yards here and there |
Time to bust out the Deebo section of the playbook and get some WRs some heavy work. Hell, Toney is still on a PS, go get him to carry the ball.

hopefully it was just the stink of Cleveland dragging him down, but the last time i watched Kareem play i remember thinking he looked more like 38 than 28
i'll be genuinely delighted to watch him prove me wrong |

We got a lot from RB Williams and RB McKinnon and LB Drue Tranquill and WR Toney recently that were low risk.
We missed on Josh Gordon and LeVeon Bell and a few other bombs. None cost us a ton of money or other comp. Hunt I view the same way.. |

how come he was available? Hope it works out, I guess McKinnon is done. I almost expected them to call him up.
