Feel like we are a QB and CB away from being a real contender. Great pieces every where else.

I am just pointing out the hypocrisy that the entire basis of this thread was Alex Smith having a 99 QB rating in a LOSS to the crap Tampa Bay Bucs, he gets a pass. Then, in a win against Denver, his QB rating was a 79.9, still apparently gets a pass. It can't be both. If you call last night a good game by him and that he stepped up, then you are admitting that he blew the Bucs game, he doesn't get a pass for both games, which is what this thread is built on.

I still want him gone. Yes we won, but we won despite him. Look, we're all giddy that we won, but at some point we need to have a QB that can consistently make throws down field like we saw a rookie Bronco make last night.

He's the quarterback. He deserves the most blame for a loss, and the most credit for a win. Thats how it works. Despite others having much better overall games, Alex Smith gets my game ball for the Denver win. Despite the defense being below average against Tampa, Alex is the biggest goat for that loss. |
