Wonderlic score of 7. Good luck learning the playbook

"Learning the playbook" is completely unrealistic this deep into the season. I can assure you that isnt the plan. He'll need to learn the terms for the routes he's been running for years and know how to execute what they script, which he'll practice beforehand.

Doing some reading and it looks like KB went diva mode in Carolina and asked to be traded because he wasn't getting his targets.

Probably the same reason he basically quit on the Bills.

A lot of people do that company softball leagues.

Red Dawg 12-07-2018 10:44 PM

I stand corrected. Right you are.

Benjamin is essentially a 5-7 week rental...nice move on both sides. KB gets some facetime with a top QB in the post season....for whichever team wants to pay him next year.

Chiefs, obviously, arent paying another WR $6-8 million in 2019. I doubt he's going to take a one year "prove it" gig...he might though. Mahomes/Reid would be about as good as you can get to restart your career. Manning made a lot WRs dough over the years.

Cheap insurance...

Who knows, maybe he'd see the value of spending a full year to bolster his numbers and reputation. Maybe (ROFL) he'd take a discount to stay on a legitimate SB contending team. Hell, maybe he'd be willing to slide into a hybrid WR/TE role. If he proves worthwhile I'd be all for him staying around... Especially since Sammy will likely miss more time next year too.

DTVietnam 12-08-2018 01:45 AM

last time we picked up a cheap rental for the end of the year he batted the ball into the hands of Marioata and refused to tackle derrick henry

sometimes these cheap bums can hurt your team

Kelce is basically a TE/WR that lines up inside and outside... no reason KB can’t be a WR/TE that lines up outside and inside.

I'm wondering if that's the jist...the dude is built like a TE. In today's pass-oriented shit...he might be a "new generation" TE.

He's too slow to be a WR #1....he's 240 6-5...he might be a monster "receiving" TE in waiting.

This could turn out to be pretty cool...if that was actually the motivation in bringing him in.
