Wrong.

That, and it feels like we never cover the spread, especially larger ones like this.

Yeah I agree. Not really sure why he thinks what you highlighted. Outside of a few KC fans on here saying stupid things in a poor attempt to be funny, everyone here was and is still concerned for Hamlin. At the same time they can’t mope and just give in to whatever the mob wants and reward Buffalo because of sympathy.

Speaking of young people being sensitive…. I know it’s not the same topic, but I had a young person (late 20’s) tell me a few weeks ago: “Listen man, like, the government, they need to confiscate the wealth of the billionaires. Leave them with enough to live but the rest of the money needs to be redistributed to my generation. The cost of homes are too high man. And we can’t get high paying jobs without going to college and then they want us to pay for college too. It’s not fair.”

And his buddies were all sitting there nodding their heads like bobble dolls. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

BenGals have 4 losses.

Won’t turn this into something that causes this thread to go to DC, but that mindset is scary because at some point in time they will vote if they aren’t already.

Honestly, the NFL is probably just rooting for the Pats to beat the Bills on Sunday--that makes everything moot. They can declare the Bills/Bengals game a tie and move on--KC will have earned the #1 seed by have a record (14-3) that neither Buffalo or Cincy could obtain by playing their game.

Correct. Buffalo would sew up the number one with two wins but all I am arguing is that the league has a big conundrum if for some reason either of these teams don’t get that 17th game played. I realize the Bengals only surpass the Chiefs if they lose to the Raiders and Cincy gets credited with two wins.

I just don’t trust this league and precedent however. Not having this game played throws a huge wrench into what will happen heading into the playoffs

Solutions:
1/ play the game
2/ flip a coin to determine the winner of the game
3/ call it a tie
4/ call it a no contest

Not “just give it to the Bills or Bengals” just because.
