I love him flipping off the Seattle sideline as he was being carted off the field. |
After this injury, I think Earl Thomas is a longshot to be a Chief.

Hey... The Chiefs will get to save a couple draft picks now.

Who gives a **** about next year. I only care about ET as it relates to this year.
If indeed he can't play, we should still try to be aggressive. Unfortunately there aren't many options. Ugh. |
Sounds like it's in the same spot that Kam Chancellor accidentally hit and broke. Maybe pugs was on to something with the hairline fracture.

But they’ve gotta get good players with said picks. Whether it be via trade or selection. No projects. |

Two 2nd round picks in two years at the same position who barely see the field outside of special teams. That's pretty glaring. And honestly, you can throw Dorian O'Daniel right on that shit pile of "potential" as well. Either he drafts some guys who ****ing play or he can honestly get ****ed just like Dorsey did. |

so...that sucks

Damn it guys

They'll love Veach in Buffalo. Or he'll be a perfect lackey for Gruden in Vegas. |

Well that is the end of this speculation.
This is what Thomas was afraid of and why he wanted a new deal. |
I don’t know why they don’t just start Armani Watts and play O’Daniel. How can they be any worse than Murray/T. Smith?
Let them take their lumps. D sucks anyways. |
Ian Rapoport
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet #Seahawks star S Earl Thomas suffered a clean, lower leg break but no ligament damage and no displacement, source said. Not nearly as bad as a ligament tear would’ve been. He should be 100% by the Super Bowl... and free agency. |

So.... throw a late rounder their way?

Damn, a broke leg? Can you play after that heals? I don't think so.
|
Sorry for the repost.
Not deleting. **** you. |
Sounds like he could be back before Berry. Get it done!

Nah at this point no thanks

I do think the chiefs were pretty close to having a deal done
Boy it would come out to be a bad deal if they had a deal done and waited or something |

He's probably still better than Murray on a broken leg.

So who starts the Trade for Patrick Peterson thread and how quickly can we get it to 5000 posts?

I'll believe Berry will be back when I see him on the field during a live action game.
|
Trade a 7th rounder for him!!! Do it Veach!!!

So now he's only worth a 5th
of whiskey |
Can we trade nothing now and offer him half what he was asking?
|
Sucks that this will possibly forever remain a "what if".
|
Earl Thomas a really, really longshot to be a Chief.

I guess I'm trying to think of it as 'we just dodged having two injury prone safeties signed to max deals' kind of thing.

Obviously safeties are pussies
|
I'm curious if there will be some reports on how close the Chiefs were to trading for him.
|
wonder if we still trade a 7th for him or something
I mean at this point they might as well get something for him |

Seattle will still most likely get a 3rd round comp for letting him walk in FA. And they could still franchise him to get the most out of him, would be a dick move after what just happened to but I wouldn't put it past the seahwaks to do it.
Even if we wanted him still Seattle wouldnt take less than a 3rd. |

The ship has sailed. |
All stupid posts aside, I really feel for him. Did a huge favor for the Seahawks and then got shit on for it. Whether he'd have been a Chief or not, this really sucks.
As mentioned, this kinda makes Le'veon's actions looked justified, even if he is a piece of shit. |
I’d raid the cardinals roster and see if they’d move someone
Not Peterson but maybe a safety or lb Reddick in particular |
This thread should be closed at 4,000.

some team will give him huge money in the offseason, I'd prefer it not to be us. Lock up Hill for life because he's special and one of a kind.
|
Do you think Veach will make a move for any other defensive player? Earl Thomas was a perfect fit.
I think if ET heals up by January he wouldn't want to play and risk injuring himself further. Then again, if he plays in the playoffs and shows he is healthy he'll get a decent contract. |
CLOSE IT DOWN!
