Why does this organization fall in love with 5'9" WR's?

The Franchise 04-29-2022 06:51 PM

You assholes wanted a WR and you got one.

Now go defense with the rest.

Halfcan 04-29-2022 06:51 PM

Skyy will be the next Reek! The dude is a stud.

Plus we got a 5th rounder!!

Kiimo 04-29-2022 06:51 PM

I raced back to hear the gnashing of teeth

Couch-Potato 04-29-2022 06:52 PM

OK! We're having a very solid draft.

BossChief 04-29-2022 06:52 PM

Awesome!!!!

Skyy Moore at 54 is a great pick!!!!

Mahomes is going to LOVE this pick!!!

KChiefs1 04-29-2022 06:52 PM

The Chiefs history with Reid says they would value Moore higher than Pickens or Pierce...

Makes zero sense. Thought for sure he wouldn't go WR once he traded back, instead just let 3 other teams make the choice for him.

The Franchise 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

Get Jackson or Jones at 62 now.

Rain Man 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

McBride has a mullet mom and a non-mullet mom.

doomy3 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

Ok, I like it. Now defense at 62.

KCUnited 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

Chaz Bono sighting

BlackOp 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

Veach didnt "get played"...if he had wanted a specific player, they would have already taken him.

You dont trade back if the player you want is there...sheesh

TribalElder 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

Should we have took that TE instead

Because you're smart enough to know Sky Moore is better than the Morans they will pick!

Kiimo 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

I really hope Veach knows what he's doing with this pick. I'm less than enthused.

Clyde Frog 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

Who is that glorious mulleted individual @ Trey McBride's watch party? Magnificent specimen. Rare find, indeed.

ChiTown 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

I love getting Moore at 54. Dude fits this O perfectly

493rd 04-29-2022 06:53 PM

MVS and JuJu are big WRs clowns. We got weapons galore

I just don’t understand the fascination with the guy at all.

I just don’t see anything he truly does well. That Antonio Brown comp is nonsense - he MIGHT be Jarvis Landry and is more likely to be Albert Wilson.

And if you’re looking WR at that pick, the trade back was silly.

They took a WR who creates quick separation to pair with MVS and JuJu who are bigger types...it makes sense.

Think Edelman, or Hunter Renfrow, not the biggest or fastest but a pain in the ass.

TambaBerry 04-29-2022 06:55 PM

I think it's pretty clear they had enough guys they'd be happy with to trade back. Veach didn't get screwed you weirdos

I believe it also has to be a schematic fit as well. I thought Moore would be a better fit than Pickens.

They value quick separation over jump balls.

Chieftain 04-29-2022 06:55 PM

PFF had Skyy Moore graded at 91.8 which is first among all receivers from last season.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. We need a 3rd down WR guy, the guy who can help us keep the chains moving.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-29-2022 06:55 PM

He was the 2nd best available player and the best WR for several picks according to ESPN. So the Chiefs filled a need, got BPA at their previous pick, but got said pick after moving down. Hard to be unhappy with that.

Tribal Warfare 04-29-2022 06:55 PM

Veach or Reid would give up the WR they wanted for a 5th rounder. They didn’t want the guy.

Being fast and creating separation aren't the same thing, taller guys don't have the same quickness.

I've read some scouting reports that literally say at the NFL level Nakobe Dean is a special teams player..

There are teams that don't view him well.

STFU. Tyreek Hill is a freak, but look at the other top receivers now and in the past.

Are any of those guys better than Megatron? Randy Moss?

Tall guys can be fast, and as corners continue to trend taller, having a tall, fast receiver is advantageous to the modern NFL offenses.

Never bought that either.

But I wanted Austin and with Moore being a fellow dwarf, this takes him off the board.

And that’s just a damn shame.

comochiefsfan 04-29-2022 06:59 PM

Now let's go BPA.

If Dean is still there at 60 then it's a no brainer.

Skyy doesn’t have the injury/character concerns of Pickens and has the best hands in the draft.

He’s always getting open.

He’s very very good with the ball in his hands…breaks a ton of tackles.

I understand Veach going in this direction and getting him this late is huge.

Hope so.

And hey, if he does, I’ll use it as proof for my “Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes can turn any ol’ pile of fungible shit into a productive receiver” argument.

So win/win.

I have to think our next pick will be Nakobe Dean

louie aguiar 04-29-2022 07:03 PM

Ties the record for most wide receivers taken in the first two rounds

Coach 04-29-2022 07:03 PM

MVS has a 2-year contract. Mecole is on his last year. Ju-Ju is on one year deal.

The way the WR market has exploded, I can understand the reasoning for this pick as well (along with his talent).
