Tough night for Connection. Swept and then cried like a baby when pointed out that his precious "AP 1" and "bubble" title is not acknowledged anywhere other than Hickville and Hollyweird.

LeBron should evaluate why he's a ****ing bitch in the fourth quarter whether it's 2011 or 2023.

He buys those ****ing tuck panties from Target for both himself and bronny I bet.

Despite being 39 years old and playing on a bad foot, he still managed to average nearly the same line he's been averaging for decades now in these series (a 30 point triple double). Yeah, he can't take on the same scoring load he used to but that's where he needs more help from his teammates and didn't get it in the Denver series. The guy is the greatest to ever play the game and he proves it every time he steps between the lines.

Only 27? Maybe not clanking a few more 3s prevent the broom?

RunKC 05-23-2023 10:48 AM

Idk it seems like the NBA is just having a down year. There doesn’t appear to be a truly dominant team except maybe Denver.

The East was full of paper Tigers and the West just isn’t that good. The Lakers looked like a 7 seed…bc they were. They were just inflated by media bc of LeBron and…they’re the Lakers.

Denver is probably gonna win it but I want their fans to continue suffering. **** Donk forever and they’re of the same ilk.

Jimmy Butler should be everyone’s favorite. His story is awesome. They’ve got experience from the bubble finals.

Hope they sweep Dungver and make their fans cry

Now do his stat line from the 2011 NBA Finals, Barry (I mean, KCC).

Mostly it's another power play. It's similar to those short term deals he always signs - he wants the leverage of not re-signing to ensure teams do what he tells them to do.

Nevermind that the team didn't start to play well until after they got out from under his LAST round of stupid leverage plays.

But yeah, it's an attempt to get a Kyrie deal done. He's telling the Lakers to include Rui or the first or both; whatever it takes - to facilitate a sign and trade of Russell for Kyrie.

Lord was Russell awful in this series. Just no sugarcoating that at all. But in the end, Denver is just a better team. LA could've beaten them, but they needed more consistent play from AD (never gonna happen) and yeah, they needed LeBron to be a few years younger. Or maybe turn on the 'go' switch prior to the first half of a game that really didn't even matter much.

He will play another season for no other reason than to get that city-to-city farewell tour. Most of which will boo the piss out of him as opposed to past guys that did it LMAO

People have every reason to be sick of LeFlop. He ruins the game unless you're a LeFlop jock-sniffer. I rarely watch the NBA, but I tried this playoffs because I kind of bounce back and forth between Colorado and Arizona as my home base. Ridiculous shit like this ruins the game for everyone who doesn't secretly want to date him. He's a total bitch.

Hey, when in Rome...

It's a disgrace no matter who does it, but LeFlop takes it to an entirely different level and the guy's built like an NFL defensive end. It's ridiculous and it makes it hard to even take the league seriously. I'll watch this finals because Denver is in it, then it's back to only college hoops for me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way about it.

Part of the reason, yes. The bulk of that blame goes to his teammates like AD who showed up half the time in the playoffs (despite being in his prime) and guys like D'Lo who didn't show up at all.

Jokic is a lot bigger than LeBron and it didn't stop him from flying to the floor to sell calls. I would say he was the one who took it to an entirely different level based on those clips. LeBron needed to try to keep up with the best player in the league in that regard.

The thing is, I've always liked LeBron. I REALLY liked him in Cleveland (both times) and hated it when he played elsewhere. Hell, I didn't like Jordan WHEN he was playing, but I liked his game. The issue, in both cases, is their fans make it difficult to "like" either one.

Honest question: (for you and Barry)

Has Lebron EVER lost a game in his NBA career that was HIS fault?

Just curious.

Enough with the LeBron talk. He's a great player and everyone knows that.

So is Miami going to sweep Boston tonight? The Celtics have basically went fishing it seems.

Well said. Felt this way about the NBA for a long time now. And it's not just the flops; it's the way they play the game. So like you, I watch some of the playoffs, otherwise the NBA isn't good enough for me to watch during the regular season.

Might have something to do with his clutch shooting stats in his career.

Gary Cooper 05-23-2023 06:48 PM

3 turnovers already for Tatum in the first quarter. I think Dennis Rodman had better handles than him.

lcarus 05-23-2023 06:58 PM

Boston checked out of this series after game 2. Near impossible to envision them pulling off a game 4 victory.

Celtics dominating here. Looks like we'll be going back to Boston.

Gary Cooper 05-23-2023 07:27 PM

Boston plays really well when Brown and Smart are on the bench. Mazzulla should grow a pair and sit those players the entire second half.

Which is good. No need for LeBron to get further injured when they were never winning that series with his teammates. Needs to rest up for next year and Kyrie's return to the fold.

If Schroder goes down, it's another flop which would have preceded by a foul on AD.

For everyone who thinks the NBA needs less LeBron, sure is a lot of talk tonight about the Celtics/Heat game.

KC_Connection 05-23-2023 08:02 PM

16-0 run for Boston. Just dominating with their superior talent with Butler nowhere to be found. This series ain't done yet.

KC_Connection 05-23-2023 08:36 PM

Heat getting blown out. Celtics look a lot different when Tatum actually shows up to play basketball.

Part of the reason, yes. The bulk of that blame goes to his teammates like AD who showed up half the time in the playoffs (despite being in his prime) and guys like D'Lo who didn't show up at all.

You know what other team’s fans blamed the refs for their loss? The Eagles.

Eagles fans challenge the idea that the Chiefs are better than the Eagles.

I don't challenge the idea that the Lakers are worse than the Nuggets at all, that is very clear.

LeBron lost yesterday, but not in 2020. KU lost this year, but not in 2020 or 2022.

They still blamed the refs for the loss despite evidence that says otherwise. Kinda like now.

Not exactly impossible. If they play even competent basketball the talent difference is too much for the Heat to overcome. Although I think Jimmy Butler can get them one more win and advance them relatively easily.

KC_Connection 05-24-2023 08:48 AM

If any team is ever gonna come back from 3-0 in the NBA, it would be in a matchup like this one where the team with the deficit has a huge talent advantage and also the advantage of one extra home game.

People said the same shit about Jordan when he was in his later years. "He's bad for the game!!!" or some nonsense.

Then the league devolved into Big 10 hell and was unwatchable for about a decade after he retired.

The league needs stars and James is a star. He's still a monumental douche and his stans are somehow worse.

But the league his better for having him in it. If he really is going to try to leverage a retirement ploy, this is one of those times that the league could do some wink/nod shit behind the scenes - not with owners but with agents - to try to push something through.

2 more years of James in the league is absolutely something Silver wants.

You're a stupid ****. You don't get to proclaim yourself as the GOAT, score three points in the fourth quarter and then not receive backlash.

**** you and **** Lebron the fake GOAT.

Even when Dirk was choking in the playoffs he wasn't disappearing in the fourth quarter like that. Absolutely pathetic WCF from LeBron. I told you he was done winning titles, and he is.

He's going out LIKE A BITCH and hopefully he brings his dipshit son along for the ride to be HUMILIATED. THE JAMES FAMILY WILL SUFFER.

Can you imagine MJ trying to guard Jokic like LeBron was doing the other night? He'd have been blown right through. And that's 39 year old LeBron, over 10 years past his defensive prime.

Probably would have stolen the ball from him and won the ****ing game oh wait he actually did that. ROFL

Lebron is the highest paid Laker so he needed to be the guy to put the team on his back and find a way to close out games. If he's too old to do that then he needs to take a pay cut.

LeBron knows deep down that only he did all he could in that series, but he's a good enough teammate to do this for AD. GOAT stuff.

Hammock Parties 05-24-2023 09:46 AM

AD was in shock that the self proclaimed GOAT only scored three points in the fourth quarter.

There AD was, willing the Lakers to victory by scoring 10 in the fourth quarter and what was Lebron doing?

LMAO Always funny when Lebron stans point to the 2017 and 2018 Warriors as to why he doesn't have 2 more titles.

1. There's no guarantee he even wins. He's lost plenty of Finals series that didn't include the KD Warriors.

2. They denigrate 2 of the 4 titles Lebron managed to win in 20 seasons by doing so.

Every other team in the 90s, every other superstar, pointed to the Bulls and Jordan as the reason they couldn't win titles.

But the FAUXT points to other teams as the reason HE couldn't win titles.
