It's on CNBC right now, Mr. Deberg_1990. Since it's the most viewed Olympic sport on television, so I'm pretty sure that, in future, the carrying network will modify its programming schedule to include Curling in prime-time.

Actually, though, the whole damn schedule this year is kind of strange. The best stuff seems to be on during the day. Maybe that's because the games are in Vancouver and not in a city where night is day here and day is night here and vice-versa here or there. Like, for example, the skiing people can't really ski at night because they can't see the gates or the moguls or each other and can get lost during their runs and very possibly might hit a rock or a tree which would be damn good tv but not so good for the athletes except for the Curlers and the skaters who perform indoors where they have lights unless there's a power outage in which case you hope there are back-up generators or lots of batteries on hand, so they have to show the skiers live during the day and via tape at night unless the skiing people are skiing in Beijing where our prime-time is their morning. It's all about time cubism.

Both the men and women won in curling yesterday. The parade through New Orleans is planned for next week.

I think I want to try curling. It looks like a fun sport and hobby. I'm too old and slow to play anything anymore, but that might be fun.

So they let Shuster back on the ice as a sweeper, and the f**ktard was so admiring of the new skip's shot that he forgot to sweep the enemy rock out. Jesus H., this guy's a f**king assclown...

Tonight ought to be interesting, Ohno vs the entire nation of South Korea (or at least 3 of them) in 1000m. I never realized this, but apparently South Korea really, really, really hates Ohno.

Apolo Ohno may be feted at home for his Olympic feats but he's better known in South Korea as the "king of fouls."

The American short track speed skater, who goes up against the South Koreans again when he races for a historic seventh Winter Olympics medal in Canada on Saturday, may well be the athlete South Koreans hate the most.

Online bulletin boards are plastered with posts cursing the 27-year-old.

One company once sold toilet paper emblazoned with Ohno's face: Ohno joyfully winning the gold, Ohno kissing his medal, Ohno laughing. One video game features an Ohno character you can shoot in the head, and to call something "Ohnolike" is to deride it as a dirty trick.

...

The animosity toward Ohno grew so heated that the entire American short track team withdrew from a World Cup event held in South Korea in 2003, citing death threats against Ohno. In 2005, the athlete traveled in South Korea, reportedly under the guard of police.

...

Incensed gold medalist Lee Jung-Su criticized Ohno as "too aggressive" in a post-race news conference.

"Ohno didn't deserve to stand on the same medal platform as me," he told Yonhap. "I was so enraged that it was hard for me to contain myself during the victory ceremony."

...

If he wins, Ohno will become the most decorated American in Winter Olympics history.

But at least one blogger hopes to see him fall flat on his face: "He should fall down on the ice and have (figure skater) Kim Yu-na land on his disgusting face after she performs a triple axel."

No overreaction there at all.

Doubly funny since they had a medal sweep lined up, knocked themselves out and gave two Americans medals, one of them being Ohno's silver. LMAO

Here's one of the quotes on thier tranlated to English...

"But, but if they had ran the 2-1 defense scheme on Ohno rather than the 1-2 we'd have swept the medals. Dammit Piori!!!!"

JD10367 02-20-2010 12:26 PM

I think this young U.S. skip is going to be the curling version of Tom Brady to Schuster's Drew Bledsoe. LMAO

JD10367 02-20-2010 12:28 PM

The landing snow in this women's ski-jump event is like friggin' oatmeal. They're falling on their asses left and right.
