Now he didn't turn out to be anything but he did have a winning record when he left KC. Nowhere near as bad as the other busts of the 80s like Joziwak, Ethan Horton, Anthony Hancock, Paul Palmer, Willie Scott.

Unlike some others on here **cough, gblowfish,cough** I was a big Bill Kenney fan. Those were some tough years, and the fans had built up a lot of hope in Blackledge.
You make a good point though, IMO, this fanbase has never had the patience for a rookie QB to OJT, and maybe that is Hunt's reservation. Do you honestly think this fan base would have the patience for any QB short of Luck/Manning talent?
