So did anyone get the final PSU numbers for Smith?

Molitoth 11-28-2016 08:57 AM

Like I mentioned before, my biggest frustration with Alex Smith is that we know he CAN.... but most of the time he just WON'T.

Good lord.

He's the quarterback. He deserves the most blame for a loss, and the most credit for a win. Thats how it works. Despite others having much better overall games, Alex Smith gets my game ball for the Denver win. Despite the defense being below average against Tampa, Alex is the biggest goat for that loss.

Well, I'd give the game ball to Hill, but your point about Smith is spot on.

Red Dawg 11-28-2016 09:03 AM

My opinion of Alex will not change. I want him gone at the end of the year but I can at least give him props for getting it done on the road and undermanned. He made many throws under pressure and deserves a lot of credit for pulling out the win.

But he's played terrible in far to many games to have him back next season in my mind. We have won 8 games and not many are because he played good football. That is not good enough going forward.

If we win the SB they can hand him a blank check and play him till he's 45 for all I care.

He will join the ranks of Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson.

yep. No molestation in my life, thank Christ. Feel badly for anyone that had/has to go through such a thing.. and it's certainly not something one should mock someone else over. That's like making fun of someone for having cancer.. or for having a relative incarcerated for murder. tsk tsk..

Yeah it's low rent for sure. Especially when the mods have said its not him. Talk about living in some heads.

GO CHIEFS

This. x100

You could see him flinch on a few open throws early in the game. It's not like he throws vertical late in 4th quarters. It's still pretty conservative football. If he played every quarter like it was the 4th, he'd actually be a good qb.

PAChiefsGuy 11-28-2016 09:32 AM

Some of you guys crack me up.

You'd rather Alex throws for 300+ yds and 3+ TDs and we lose than he has bad stats and we win...

Maybe you guys don't realize the object of the game is to win not get a lot of FF pts.

The Franchise 11-28-2016 09:37 AM

If only teams would play prevent defense the entire game....then Smith could look decent.

If Alex is putting up those stats, then he is not the problem. dumbass.

sorry but this is idiotic every time someone posts it.

90% of people bitching about smith wouldnt rather lose a game just to be right. all they want is to win, in the playoffs, a super bowl.

Less is more and people don't realize it. 2014 Brady and Manning led the league in passes thrown inside the 10 but people put off this perception that they are just chucking the rock.

So long as our team isn't getting buried (again a product of good defensive play)... methodical movement of the football up the field does many things like resting your defense and tiring out your opponents' LB and secondary (as they have to cover far more field than any receiver or tight end).

The idiots on here undervalue the concept of ball protection. An effective run game is going to produce less turnovers than any equal # of pass plays. A ball thrown in the air has so many factors that come into play...I'm tired of people bitching about the WCO and that when productive, we are primarily a run first team. 2015 we were near close to running the ball on half of plays and that's when we were the most efficient as scoring (ranked 6th in the league in points per drive)...

Chiefnj2 11-28-2016 09:45 AM

After 58 minutes of being Cassel-lite, Alex did a good job making some key throws.

Good for him. Hopefully it boosts his confidence down the stretch, because if he plays like he did the first 58 KC will miss out on the post-season.
