Also is that's Peyton Manning running that penalty doesn't happen because the defender isn't flying over there out of control to stop a 4.5/40 guy from gaining more yards. That's what speed do. |

The Jets have played a tougher schedule, with Tampa and Jacksonville being equally terrible, and Buffalo being very comparable - so far at least - to the Eagle and Cowboys (All mediocre/middle-of-pack squads). |

Awesome. |
Having an OK game today.

Minus the 2 turnovers, he's having a good game?
|
Jets are on here. Only two first-half turnovers for Geno. He threw an interception on his first pass attempt, and he lost a fumble whilst scrambling which resulted in the Titans' second touchdown.
|
Geno does what Geno does.

Dude is a pick machine. Get it together Chocolate Cassel.

so far 3 turnovers, no TDs.
His rating for today is currently 40.3 |

Geno Smith looks completely lost. And lucks out that he doesn't take an awful, unnecessary safety. |

LMAO Geno. What the ****?

Bad day for the rook. He'll learn and kick ass.

4th fumble...switching ball between hands...behind his back....near the the end zone....comical....
Instant bloopers film material. No amount of coaching is going to fix decision making like that, |
LOL, this mother****er is on pace for like 50 turnovers this season, oh lawd!
:D:D:D |

Or maybe his career will continue to be one big ****ing dumpster fire. He looks absolutely lost out there, just being dumb with the football. |

LOL, Alex Smith would have killed to have guys like Santonio Holmes and Kellen Winslow, he was throwing to guys named Arnaz Battle and didn't have any sort of defense to speak of backing him up. Is the Jets situation ideal? No, is it far better than other rookie QB's have dealt with? Hell yes. |
|
Cue the gif of him being rubbed like a golden idol by his teammates.

Yeah because that tells the whole story. One won big, the other padded his stats as his team was getting blown out, contributing directly to 3 Titans touchdowns. Geno Smith was Tennessee's most valuable player by far today. Like I said, a ****ing dumpster fire. |
Is Rob Blake another incarnation of blackbob. curious minds want to know.

I see Geno made sure to keep his 1-2 td/int % in tact while keeping that turnover record in his sights. |

he played like garbage, and alex played really well. |

one of the more logical posters. |
That's just what I see watching the gif. It was going to be stripped either way due to lack of good decision making by geno in the first place, but trying to get it in his other hand was the only move that looked possible there.

The rook had a rough outing. Hopefully, lots of lessons were learned and the coaches can do the teaching and he has the fortitude to learn and similar mistakes aren't repeated.

Peyton Mannings first 4 starts:
3 tds 11 ints 0-4 Give the kid time to hopefully learn from these mistakes. |

Why does every rookie QB get compared to Peyton Manning? I actually like Geno, he has done some legitimately good things out there, but he's not even close to Peyton Manning.

Geno has done some good things, but the mistakes have been atrocious. |

Cool way to look at QB careers at the start game by game

Peyton Manning lost games and played poorly early in his career. Therefore, every QB that starts out shitty is great. Also...every QB that starts out better than shitty is great.

The only guy seriously in this discussion is Andrew Luck... which is sad because he gets glossed over for guys like Kaepernick and Wilson and Geno. But even Bruce Arians said Luck did more his rookie season than Manning did. And I think he might be better at the same point in his career than Manning. Long way to go though. |

Just illustrating how the first few games of a quarterbacks career mean much less than some might think. 10 turnovers in 4 games is a staggering total, but you can't make it more than it is. He has had flashes of brilliance and stretches of cluelessness...how he works through it is what will make him a 13 year starter or out of the league in 5. |
Sad what has happened to the Jets.

Actually Geno has 11 turnovers. He's on pace for 44. Which is terrible.
I'd agree it's not the end of the world yet... but just because Peyton Manning did it doesn't mean Geno will. It literally has 0% relevance. |
