My point is who cares what type of stats he puts up as long as we keep winning... Dumbass.

Keep crying for the rest of the year for all I care... Doesn't matter. Reid could careless he is going to do what he feels is best for the team and if he feels it is Alex Smith you are just going to have to soak in your tears and deal with it.

Good for him. Hopefully it boosts his confidence down the stretch, because if he plays like he did the first 58 KC will miss out on the post-season.

Worse than Cassel. At least Matt would attempt a downfield throw.

So long as our team isn't getting buried (again a product of good defensive play)... methodical movement of the football up the field does many things like resting your defense and tiring out your opponents' LB and secondary (as they have to cover far more field than any receiver or tight end).

The idiots on here undervalue the concept of ball protection. An effective run game is going to produce less turnovers than any equal # of pass plays. A ball thrown in the air has so many factors that come into play...I'm tired of people bitching about the WCO and that when productive, we are primarily a run first team. 2015 we were near close to running the ball on half of plays and that's when we were the most efficient as scoring (ranked 6th in the league in points per drive)...

Right...but the offense isn't methodically moving the ball on a consistent basis. The run game has regressed significantly and the passing game just can't get it done. If things were working then the short passes probably wouldn't seem like as big of a deal.

I was suprised they waited until we got to redzone to be more aggressive. We know the old saying about playing prevent.

.

The problem, and you likely know it, is that at some point the bad stats correlate to bad play on the field, which in turn is going to lead to a piss poor offensive performance and a loss.

Yep. Team wins.

Well....until we lose and then it's the defense's fault. What's that? We allowed 17 points? Well shit...it was the offensive line's fault. Only allowed 2 sacks? ****ing WRs and their drops!!!

You don't think all the other QBs in this league didn't see a drop in their efficiency when the were missing their top receiver? Maclin was a 1000+ yard receiver (great considering it's in a WCO) and had 8 TD's for us in 2015, equal to the next 3 receivers touchdowns combined.

That's why I'm not hitting the panic button.

Maclin will restore Smith's confidence in throwing passes > 10 yards to the middle of the field

Sandy Vagina 11-28-2016 09:57 AM

You all were bitching that the O doesn't step up and win one. That's exactly what they did in the end to beat DEN at home. Does it happen often enough? no. Does it need to happen often? no.

So just be ****ing happy that the Chiefs won this tough game, and hope that Andy gets his head out of the clouds to see what is needed to improve things.

Nah. That just wouldn't be fun, right? better to bitch and rehash shit instead... because of butthurt, bitter agendas.

TigeRRUppeRRcut 11-28-2016 09:57 AM

Alex throwing middle 2015: QB rating 128, 4 TD's
Alex throwing middle 2016: QB rating 83.6, 0 TD's

So people want to keep saying Maclin makes no difference? Think again.

I'll give Smith credit when he doesn't play like Matt Cassel for 55 minutes and then Tom Brady for 5 against a prevent defense.

God you must be an absolute nightmare to be around in real life.

No need to be dishonest. The offense put up 4 points a quarter.

Reid and Smith's fault that they don't utilize more than 1 WR at a time.

threebag 11-28-2016 09:59 AM

Probably not even then.

So you are not about winning games at all. Your interest is in playing pretty. Just played a very good team.. especially defense.. in their house.. in a crucial game.. and the O stepped up when most needed.

"Oh, but piss on that! cuz it wasn't all pretty!"

Really.. GFY.
