Not to mention that NFL contracts can always be manipulated, we've seen the Chiefs offer large signing bonuses in the past to bring guys in on moderate annual contracts.

If the criteria is really guys under 30 only, that's kind of stupid. There are so many holes you have to fill, some of them have to be plugged with older veterans or guys with injury history, for the right price in a way that you can walk away from easily, while you work on getting younger.

You can just fill the roster with undrafted guys just to be younger.

That's the ideal thing to do and seems to be what Dorsey tried to do, just didn't hit the draft picks like he needed to.

Market inefficiencies are guys like Wilkerson if they pan out. Cheaper vet deal on a guy looking to get another big payday.
