The Celtics fans with their sky high expectations after spending enough to buy several small countries to build this team have them all come crashing down only to see the Lakers who nobody picked take it all. It just doesn't get any sweeter than that. :)

The 2 teams with the best records since 1 January are Houston (40-10) and Utah (38-12). If Utah eliminates Houston, they are a force to be reckoned with. I look for the series to go 6 games with the Jazz winning at home to close out the series.

LA is the only team that scares me. We beat Boston in their gym, we smoked Nawlins, we struggle a bit with San Antonio, but they might get eliminated by somebody else by the time the finals roll round.

Go Jazz!

Go Jazz!

They should after breaking your home court win record. Hopefully we get Bynum back for that series. I am hoping Phil is just holding him out as our secret weapon.:)

Nice avatar.

Aren't you glad I bumped this thread?

Looks like the Lakers will make the finals this year. How is Boston doing so far? It would be great to relive some of those classic battles of Bird and Magic back in the day.

Lakers sweep the Butt Nuggets just as predicted. Based upon the performance of Colorado teams god must be very angry with people in dog killin country.

What's up with the Celtics? These idiots better not let me down. I am looking forward to seeing them make the finals. Won't be the same without them.

Sounds like they are pulling a Lakers "Dream Team" dive like when they played Detroit. ROFL

I hope Houston has one more win in them

Well Kobe is no longer a first round virgin as the #1 option. Hopefully the Lakers can knock off the Mormons.

Why? More rest for the Lakers?

Hell I would like to see Houston win the series, period. Yes for the benefits of the additional time especially agains a team that executews as well as the Jazz. Also be good to get a little more mileage on their players. I am still hoping for the unthinkable, the return of Bynum to the lineup in this series.

Basileus777 04-29-2008 12:50 PM

Bynum is not coming back and even if he could he would not be ready to perform in the playoffs. He's a young player who hasn't played a minute and months, its unlikely he could jump back in and play at the level he was before the injury.
