Bump 03-19-2013 12:33 AM

Okay time for a small BUMP summary of this season.

Was it last season? nope, last season was epic. But it was built up to be epic.

this season, there was some development, it was slower. That's okay, as long as the next 2 episodes are worth it.

I thought this episode last night "Prey" was the best episode of the season. the cat and mouse game was suspenseful and enjoyable to watch. This episode was all about Andrea and the governor. She got so close but the gov was right there to nab here and then its like oh shit, she''s ****ed. But you already know that she's gonna get saved at the last second. But honestly I hope the governor kills her, because at least it wouldn't be cliche. I still need to read the comics but they are so god damn expensive. Anybody know of a free site or something where I could read them?

It's a show, it has it's flaws.

I think that Maggie or Glenn is going down. They will prob build the love thing up some more next week (gag), than kill one of them.

Spoiler!

mcaj22 03-19-2013 01:08 PM

i think the biggest "noooooo" death could be Hershel or a Daryl shocker.

ive never read the books or whatever so im just guessing. even then I know Daryl isnt a character in the books so he could go at anytime and really throw off the "fan favorite" fanbase of the show.

Herschel, maybe. Darryl, no way.

IMO, the only "cant touch" characters are Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Carl, Judith and probably Michone and Tyrese for now. (They probably hold alot of comic book fan appeal)

I hate that they have skimped on Michones and Tyreses characters, but they could be developed further as the series goes on.

Im not even 100% certain the Govenor dies this season? I have no idea about Morrissey's contract?

I’m assuming that the Governor is going to be a main character in the series for a long time.

So questions for those that have read the books:
Spoiler!

Fishpicker 03-19-2013 04:09 PM

who burnt the zombies in the pit? Morgan? I don't think it was Milton.

keg in kc 03-19-2013 04:27 PM

I thought they heavily teased it was Milton, but it could've been anyone really.

Where would Morgan have gotten the SUV? How would he have known about the pit in the first place? Why would he do it in such a james bond-y way (wasn't the individual wearing a balaclava?)?

Morgan owns everything in his town, maybe he salvaged a SUV there. he wouldn't have known about the pit but he might have stumbled onto it while looking for the prison.

the reason i thought of Morgan was that he was the only person I've seen carry a gas can and set fire to zombies. I could be way off. I don't think it was anyone in Woodberry because the governor had the gasoline locked down like everything else.

too violent for tv. pretty much on all parts of your spoiler. the comic was/is SOOOOOOOOOOOO graphic.

i still like how methodical of a badass the governor is being portrayed on tv. just an evil, evil man.

Speaking of milton, I really like that guy who plays him....Dallas Roberts. He's one of those chameleon character actor guys you have seen in lots of different shows and movies. He solid, but I'm betting he's dead by the end of this season.

It was somehow more than obvious. They should have just shown him doing it. Hell, it would have been better if they hadn't shown it being done, and just had it spread word of mouth via the foot soldiers on screen until the Gov asks Milton if he has heard about it. That's probably how I would have done it.

That is why it was obvious it was Milton. The Governor did not bring it up. Milton did.

I'm curious what Milton's and Phillips relationship was like before the zombie apocalypse? We're they best buds? Family? I'd like to see the show do more flashbacks to their lives before.

I think that might be a cool idea. Give quick little bits of what everyone was like prior to the zombies. Would even need to go into that much depth either, maybe 5 - 10 min at most for each character.

Don't think the writers have it in them to throw a curve like that.

I'm also with Fish. My initial thought was Morgan. Someone would have known that Milton left.

Morgan would also be a nice wild card in the coming battle.

He does seem to enjoy burning up zombies though.

Found the picture. Meh.
Just started watching Pacific for the first time. Shane is in this (Jon Bernthal). I think Spielberg and Hanks should just make a WW2 mini series every 4 years or so until they die.

Oh they are!

Not sure about hours away, Rick, Carl & Michone were able to get to Rick's town, find Morgan, Rick talk him down, get some guns, and head back to the prison all within a day and before the sunset.

Exactly. How is Milton going to get out of Woodbury with that big ass truck without anyone noticing? What was it, a Ford F-250? Not happening, and if they "let him go" b/c he's he gave good reason, the Governor wouldn't be the only one suspicious. Also, Milton is a coward, would never go out alone, even if he did have a pickup.

Rick to ld him where they were when he went back to the town, tried to get him to come along. Morgan declined, said he had to finish "clearing".

Likely Morgan either cleared the town, or had a change of heart. Probably decided to head to the prison to meet up with Rick and crew.

Umm no. It was pretty clear it wasnt him based on his reaction to the the Govenors question.

It’s a really good point about others being at Woodberry being suspicious if Milton had left but I think that’s just a mistake in the show. The actress that plays Andrea came right out and said it was Milton on the after show.

Exactly. the show has proven over and over inconsistencies and logic gaps. Thats all this is.

Radar Chief 03-22-2013 02:22 PM

So Mrs. Radar visits some chat boards that talk the Walking Dead and from what she’s hearing there’s going to be some major carnage, lots of regular characters are going to get it. Sounds like the last episode is going to be a blood bath.

I am not reading anything into it, really. I said I would like it to be Tyrese. Even if it had been Tyrese it is not like he is just going to come out and tell the Gov he did it. All sign do point to Mitllon but it would be nice it if was not so obvious.

Gadzooks 03-22-2013 08:40 PM

Unless Tyrese has a wicked case of Vitiligo, (Michael Jackson's skin disease), it was a honky that doused those walkers.

I agree with your take on 13 episodes. Seems like 3 were "build up" episodes before the finale. That made watching kind of tedious at times.

However, I do not agree with your take on tonights episode. Thought it was finally a bit of good.

It makes sacrifices and losses more endearing to the fans watching..
