The Titans were patient with Locker and it was starting to pay off this year until he got hurt. It sucks that he got hurt, but I'm thrilled we missed seeing him.

I don't know how patient the Jets will be. Then again, they were patient with Sanchez, but he won early on in his career. If they have a losing season with Geno and he's a turnover machine all year, they might go in a different direction. Who ****ing knows anymore in this league. Dude could turn out to be a stud, or could end up flipping burgers.

I don't know about the Jets, but Donovan McNabb was 810 this morning swinging from Geno's nuts. There is potential there you ride it out. The Jets aren't winning the SB this year no matter who they play at QB on their roster.

That was in reference to the jets fans ability / inability to be "patient" while Geno developes. It ain't happining.

Sanchez won out of the gate. NY had far too much invested in Eli and fans were calling for his head, they weren't patient. Oh and the characteristics that scouts are looking were evident with Eli, I guess not so much with Geno.

NY is not a patient town. And the "some franchises are patient enough to allow a rookie qb to develop" only happens if they are confident in the players ability to develop, they are not. Jets took a flyer because they had few to no other options. It hasn't paid off, the fans are not confident in it ever paying off and the one's that anticipated this will continue getting a paycheck.
